Appius is a very tall Mandalorian Force using human with pale skin complexion, and a average body build, ash blond/light brown hair with eyes that are a bright, natural blue. He has long arms, hands and legs which are natural given his taller height. On his face is a very faint, light stubble the same colour as his hair which is hard to see unless you are up close.
Distinguishing marks
He has a long, diagonal scar above his hip on the left side of his body located where his left kidney used to be. The result of a plasma arrow that embedded itself into him during GJW XIII that destroyed the organ itself.
Lovingly called "Zappius" by members of Clan Taldryan, Appius has developed a certain knack for using his abilities in the Force in situations where, in all honesty, they aren't really needed. Especially Force Lightning.
He will often take the easiest or more direct route, even something as simple as using the Force to summon a glass to his hand when he could have just gotten it himself, or send a bolt of electricity at a door switch to flick on a light. He will take the path of least resistance and go with the flow.
This does sometimes get him into trouble, especially when the easy way wasn't necessarily the best one.
At one point in time, Appius Wight believed the Mandalorian code to be more a rough guide than a set of strict rules to follow. This is no longer the case.
Now, he follows the tenants of the Resol'nare vigilantly as he understands it as the way of life from which he came. He wears the armor, speaks the language, contributes to Taldryan's welfare, answers the call of the Manda'lor when required and swears to raise his children as Mandalorians should he ever have any.
Being a Force Using Mandalorian has brought along its fair share of prejudice in his life as some question his heritage. He's learned to tune this all out, though sometimes finds it harder working with other mercenaries because of it.
The destruction of his aliit sent Appius into a downward spiral that resulted in his turn to the Dark Side. He abandoned his beskar'gam, and believed he was destined to be alone in a galaxy that conspired against him.
That all changed when he met Ankira Irr. She became the first ray of light he had experienced in a long time. He became inspired by her kindness and her tenacity, she helped him rediscover who he was and he came to admire and love her, calling her ner cyare.
Shades of the old Appius come to the surface when he's around her. The same kind, gentle being he was before the destruction of his aliit. Though the Dark Sides influence can play with his mind, and after long periods of time apart he retreats back into his shell, aware of it or not...
After previously pushing people away, Appius has finally begun to open up to those close to him. Those include his apprentices, his Master, the woman he loves, and a few close friends. He considers them "Kaysh evaar'la aliit", or "his new Clan" and is protective of those he cares for.
Those who aren't however, are subject to him trying to brush situations under the rug with sarcasm and humour hidden behind an introverted mask that never takes anything too seriously.
However, this does mean making new friends and allies is often trickier for Appius compared to others. Though no mask is unbreakable, and given enough time one can get to the man hidden underneath.
Appius Wight is no stranger to using the Force to defend himself. Years of being hunted just for his sensitivity to that mystical power has taught him that the Force is his ally, and a powerful ally it is.
As such, he has learnt to rely on it, becoming his first choice for dealing with enemies, even before drawing his lightsaber. Whether it be Telekenesis to shift an opponent and objects, Blinding their vision, or even Force Lightning to destroy them. There is nothing Appius Wight won't use if it gets him the win.
Despite how devastating and horrifying this can be for his opponents, Appius can quickly find himself struggling as overuse of Force Powers can leave him extremely fatigued, and he is extremely vulnerable to the Suppression Force Power.
Niman is not an art practiced by many in the Brotherhood. Many see it as a lesser form used by diplomats and Consulars that seldom ever saw combat. Appius takes a great deal of pleasure in proving them wrong and showing exactly what Form VI can do.
He has taken the idea of moderation and thrown it out the window, all in a bid to make himself as sketchy and unpredictable as possible through his use of the Saberstaff and Force Powers such as Telekenesis, Force Lightning, Blinding and Amplification.
Through Dun Moch Appius picks apart his opponents fighting style, belittling them to exploit their weaknesses using his varied training and knowledge of lightsaber forms to do so. However, Niman is still Niman, and against opponent's who can survive his unorthodox tactics he can find himself way over his head, especially against opponents better with the blade than he is.
