Ever since joining my staff, Lan has become one of the pillars of House Qel-Droma. In his role as Tetrarch he has submitted timely and thorough reports, kept in contact with all his Tyros and maintained a positive attitude throughout. Combine that with a GJW Chapter 2 Prophecy participation from 7 of its 9 members, AND lifting the team from a total of 7 submissions in Chapter 1 to 51 in Chapter 2 (ok, Strat did 31 of those by himself, but 20 ain't too shabby either), Lan should therefore be honored.
Thus, I award al'Lan Mandragoran a Steel Cross.

Lan was instrumental in the completion of the Core Rewrites. Specifically, he rewrote the Krath Core exam, the only one of the original EPs to follow through on this project. This was not an overnight project, but it was very drawn out.

Lan put a lot of hard work into the Krath Core rewrite. He patiently went through several drafts, contacted the proper people, and probably answered the same questions several times from myself and Sarin.

As part of the project, Lan didn't give up, wondering when it would actually be completed. He didn't get pushy, but he did his job as an EP and reminded me about it. Finally, after the project was done and the new course posted, Lan contacted myself and my praetor with a few minor edits to the exam that we missed.

As a small token of my appreciation, and for his extended work and patience with this project, I would like to award Lan with this Steel Cross.

Lan has worked for the ACC this RoS in the manner he does best: Behind the scenes, quiet and unobtrusive but no less essential to a well-functioning Clan for that. When I first sought people to assemble a Proofreading team, Lan immediately volunteered. It was Lan who helped set up a 'schedule' of proofreaders to be 'on duty' or not, and Lan who offered to picked up most of the slack whenever I couldn't handle it. And, in the middle of that, he also succeeded at writing a top-level fiction (2nd vs. Taldryan). All in all, Lan's an outstanding member, and I'm proud to have worked with him at the ACC.
Echoing Timâs praise here, Iâd also like to illuminate how helpful Lan has been over the past few months to me. As a former Consul himself, he knows what I have to go through on a daily basis and often keeps me calm with sage counsel and a wry grin, offering his years of experience and calming demeanour as a counterpoint to my more disorganised reflexive style of leadership. I truly hope I can tempt him back into a leadership spot of some sort over the coming months, however even just as a Consular advisor, heâs invaluable and one of my closest go-to guys for when I need a frank evaluation of whatever daily crisis attacks the Clanâs stability. Thanks muchly, Lan.
