A typical human in appearance. Vane has angular features with a pair of piercing blue eyes set beneath a defined brow. He has pale skin and short black hair which is shorter on the sides and longer on top. He also has a black beard which is trimmed off the cheeks and shorter on the sides. The mustache and goatee are salt and pepper and longer than the rest. His body is covered in remarkable tattooing. Each one tells a story. Yet, the one that stands out the most is the tattoo covering the left side of his face, a twisted version of his features that looks ghostly and eerie, in shades of blue and blacks. The right side of his face is unmarked. This symbolises the battle between good and evil within. His body follows suit and is covered from neck to knee. Chiseled and refined. Vane's body was shaped by combat and rigorous training as he is an exemplary physical specimen.
Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Daro Vane has never had a particular world to call his home. He grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to him, only the strength of individual merit. He is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables him to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.
This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting him at odds with those that value such things.
Daro Vane doesn't like to work in groups or teams and feels most comfortable on his own. Daro Vane sticks to himself, sets his own pace, and doesn't share feelings or emotions with others. While the Lone Wolf can get things done quietly and efficiently, he tends to be emotionally cut off and has problems relating to his comrades.
Daro Vane is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Daro Vane to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Daro Vane can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.
Daro Vane has a legendary and virulent need for vengeance. Once crossed, he will make it his life’s work to ensure that whatever slight was received is repaid tenfold. This need for vengeance can be all-consuming, and can often lead to short-sighted decisions.
Daro Vane is utterly devoted to success in combat, no matter the mission, no matter the cost. He has spent his life building himself in the image of war, utilizing a dogmatic regimen that has lead him to a single-minded obsession with military success and requires intense physical and mental training. This training, however, has come at the cost of anything resembling empathy or concern for others - even his superiors and subordinates.
During combat, Daro likes to blur the lines between reality and illusion. As a shadow, he has been known to alter his appearance. Typically distorting his entire face to become the Wraith. Which is portrayed by the tattoo covering the left side of his face. In conjunction with his favorite displays of Force power and Lightsaber techniques he becomes an unpredictable foe. Yet this can be taxing on his reserves and some of his tricks can fall flat or have little effect against stronger opponents or beings who aren't as easily startled.
