The Kukri is to be awarded for “When such work reaches levels of exceptional value, a token of appreciation is needed to honor such tasks. As such, bearers of this award have shown their dedication and focus on furthering one aspect of the Brotherhood far beyond what was expected of them.”

There are perhaps 5 or 6 individuals in all of Clan Scholae Palatinae who put forth the effort and hard work needed to qualify for the Amethyst Kukri. Impetus is at or near the top of that list. There is never a time when I ask her to complete something for me that she does not jump at the chance. She is eager, knowledgeable, level headed, even tempered, and a boon to the Clan and Brotherhood as a whole.

Through her tenure here in CSP, since her last promotion to Archpriestess, Impetus has recorded a slew of activity, work, and mentoring of younger members. To list her accomplishments would take another 4 pages, so I will not waste the Council’s time. If need be, a full list of accomplishments and achievements can be provided.

What stands out for me about Imp is her unending desire to better the Clan and Brotherhood. She regularly checks all the Wiki pages of the Clan to ensure continuity and common sense throughout and without her, several Wiki projects for the Clan would never have gotten off the ground. In addition to her tireless Wiki service, she has created a guide for others to follow in regards to Wiki creation and maintenance, something we all use as a starting point for our Wiki pages.

Her efforts in Reclamation were second or third to only a select few others, and Impetus consistently shows her dominance in Clan Competitions. She has earned countless crescents for her competition prowess and I do not expect those numbers to drop anytime soon.

Where others would get burnt out, Impetus simply marches on. She rarely complains and when she does, it is because she has a legitimate concern that needs to be addressed. She reports on a consistent basis as Ward of the South for Scholae Palatinae, bringing the Clan into step with any current Wiki changes.

I know that when I need something done correctly and efficiently, that there is one person to whom I turn. Impetus Korin-M’Nar Palpatine, it is my honor and great pleasure to recommend you for the Amethyst Kukri. You truly deserve it.

~Prelate Lucien Kaeth Proconsul of Scholae Palatinae

Impetus has been the an instrumental building block within CSP. She has done her job flawlessly as Ward of the South, creating, editing, and mentoring everyone, from journeymen and up, in how to create, maintain, and get the most out of their wiki and the clans wiki's. Imp has been an inspiration to both new members and vets alike, giving all for the clan and more. She has been a rock that the new members can lean on when they are in need of help, and a catalyst for the vets to step up and strive to help the clan as she does. As ward of the South, she has run competitions to both expand CSP and her members fictionally, but to also give her fellow members insight on how to construct a well organized and sound wiki by assembling lists of Wiki Article completion stages of everyone DJK or below (Xath did above).

Since her last promotion she has created the Order of the Dragon Logo, Dragon Support Scheme invented and implemented(NPCs), Made Order of the Dragon Website and Updated both Order of the Dragon Website and Wiki Page, Written a short bio for every new Order of the Dragon member, and added their name to the logo, Created Souls of Darkness Wikipedia page, Dark Paladin Wiki Page, Wards of CSP Wiki Page, Wrote HAD QUA initiation ritual. Also, below is the massive amounts of activity that Impetus has done.

Along with promoting the development of each member's wikis, she has created the groundwork for Elite BT and Wiki guides(Order of the Dragon Handbook, CSP Wiki plan, CSP Wiki Guide), and has worked on numerous other major projects including the Menagerie and Path projects(Edited CSP Menagerie Document & Assigned requirements to every animal in the menagerie, Vong Terraforming research). She is the epitome of what members should strive for: Paladin, Former Elite BTL, Seal of Loyalty recipient, and a Daughter of Palpatine. For her hard work, dedication, and unfaltering service above herself, I am honored to recommend Imp for the Amethyst Kukri.

Augur Elincia Rei has served in leadership positions consecutively for the past 11 months at various levels of responsibility to include the past four months as Consul. Elincia had the difficult task of replacing one of the longest tenured Consuls in DJB history, but has done so with elan and poise. Elincia's recent efforts in leading CSP to their fourth consecutive finish as the 3rd Clan of the DJB showed that not only is CSP in good hands right now, but they will continue to be into the future.

Elincia's additional work over the past year has consisted of exceptional content creation in the form of competitions, working with the DC on fictional direction, and an exceptional amount of work on CSP's future fictional direction.

Elincia, congrats on the AK. I look forward to seeing your continued efforts as Consul.

I am honored to lend my voice, and support, to the recommendation for Elincia Rei today for exceptional leadership of Clan Scholae Palatinae. Eli has been paramount in the Clan’s efforts to establish itself as one of the top tier units in the Brotherhood. Third Overall in the 12th Great Jedi War is a punctuation mark on a year of hard work and diligent effort.

This time last year, Eli became a vital component of change and forward momentum in the Clan with plans to move Scholae Palatinae from it’s old dominion to a new dominion. The invention and execution of the Caperion System marked the first fresh, new direction that the Clan had seen in nearly a decade. The project involved a lot of people, but you can easily identify our Consul’s fingerprints on the design and outcome of a brand new system meant to engage our new members, not cater to an old, departed crowd.

You’ve done some amazing things in 2017, Eli. I am honored to be by your side as we continue into a new year with a full agenda. Congratulations on this award. Drinks are on you!

Braecen Kaeth
Proconsul of Scholae Palatinae

I cannot even begin to express how much of an honour it is to add my voice to those others, in support of an amazing individual leader, friend, and force like Elincia Rei. Here is someone who works with his members held paramount to his own ambitions. He leads by example, and what an example he truly is to the rest of us. He has been absolutely key to the development of the Clan and has paid off in a fantastic placement in the only just finished 12th Great Jedi War.

One of the biggest things I see when I look at how Eli leads is a drive to make the Clan for the members. He involves everyone through numerous polls, questionnaires and just listening to what his members has to say (not just his summits.) This is so often a rare thing in a leader. It is refreshing to work with a leader who cares, understands, and strives to include everyone in the effort of creating something bigger and better for the Clan in its entirety. Not just that, but, even when the going gets tough, he handles the negative just as passionately as he handles the positive. He is consistent in his efforts.

He never fails to be honest. He never fails to be kind. Always thinking, always planning, he has been stellar in taking up the position of Consul and pulling together a team that could help make the clan truly shine.

Thank you Elincia, for an outstanding 2017. What you’ve done is truly amazing. I hope to see just as much passion, if not more, into 2018. Congratulations on a well-deserved award.

Mune Cinteroph Rollmaster of Scholae Palatinae

It is a pleasure to add my support to this recommendation to recognize Elincia Rei for the dedicated service he has been providing to Scholae Palatinae. The year has been a long, hard fought journey for CSP; and we wouldn’t have arrived at this level of success without Eli’s leadership as well as activity. Being our clan’s only completist in the GJW, Elincia has shown that he isn’t just a leader by word but also through action; so I am excited to see him being awarded for his efforts.

The past year has seen a lot of change over for Scholae Palatinae. From losing our previous dominion, to rebuilding the new system, to the more recent leadership change-overs and navigating the GJW. Eli has been the constant the clan had needed throughout all this change. He was project leader over creation of our new dominion and as such has been involved in every aspect from initial design, lore and wiki creation, to overseeing the delivery of this new system through our latest clan event. Throughout this, he’s pushed the initial concepts of his predecessor, Xen, to further the project with the new team’s ideas and desires to deliver the greatest opportunity for the clan is years. Furthermore, he’s assembled a fresh team of summit members and been the guiding hand the team needed to prepare for the Great Jedi War and handle the delayed launched that came with it. Without his leadership and, most definitely, activity; Scholae Palatinae would not have been able to hold on to it’s steak as Third Clan of the Brotherhood.

I can’t stress this enough, Eli has been a pillar for the clan to pivot upon throughout this. Thank you for this, Eli. You are easily one of CSP’s greatest servants.

Zen was the sole author for Writing Dialogue. This worked out to 1920 words of course notes and an exam to functions as a mini writing workshop for members. The use of video from canon Star Wars media was ultimately Zen's idea, as he wanted to use the sequence from ANH for an exam question; hopefully he hasn't come to regret that after seeing his work sit in limbo for several weeks while Zuza and I figured out how to handle video content through a centralized SA account.

While he's not the SA's most prolific grader, Xen's courses tend to be a heavier lift than most exams. In particular, the Test of Wisdom is significantly more work to grade than your average SA exam, as Zen has to review an entire story--running several dozen pages in a few instances--and offer detailed feedback to the submitter. Then he has to review the whole thing when the member resubmits to assess their improvement. It's a step above and beyond what most other Professors or Docents have had to do over the years, but it's something Zen has taken on with gusto. I and the Brotherhood's writing community appreciate his work.

Zen is overdue for recognition of the fantastic work he does as P:Voice. Brilliant and thorough Zen is someone I know I can (and do constantly) lean on for the betterment of the entire fictional community of the club. Some of the quicker trackable numbers since last he was awarded for Voice Staff include 105 Sheet Approvals, 55 Remands Written, countless discussions on all the other processed sheets, and discussion on 9 new species options that were added (plus a few that weren’t).

His work as P:Voice also leaks into the madhouse that is Story Group, having given input on the fictional direction we’ve gone these last months. This includes helping direct the 6 chapters of Galactic Happenings (including updates for all of the factions) along with all the chapters of the most recent GJW. That's a lot of ground covered and a lot of my insane plotting to help steer right, and then correctly proof once written.

Project wise Zen has been invaluable on several fronts, far beyond the discussions of adding new species options. He helped look over the ACC Guide rewrite, aided in the process of removing the secondary skills for lightsabers and martial arts (along with their feats), and most importantly took point on one of the biggest CS changes we’ve seen in years, the edit of the Charismatic skills.

He was responsible for the general write-ups on the new skills added and the required edits for the skills that were split out. This means he handled the skill descriptions and the guideline of +0 to +5 skill ability on Charm, Stealth, Deception, and Intimidation. Then he also went through all of our feats, and species to gather them into what needed to be edits with the removed skills and new skills. He also generated several brand-new feats on top of that to help highlight the new skills we added.

Basically, this entire change happened because he took charge after some comments and discussion in Voice staff on Discord. He did the work and this awesome set of clearer and functional skills was able to go live for the members. Anything that involves changes to the CS system is a complicated process, and Zen handled the broad spectrum with apparent ease, and an excellent quality.

Congrats Zen, and thank you for your continued efforts (and willingness to put up with my insane shenanigans).

Zen is a highly valued and esteemed member of Taldryan, especially when it comes to back-end planning despite not being a member of the summit.

He is one of my most trusted advisors, especially when it comes to military affairs both of Naval and Army origin.

In our last Fleet Revamp earlier last year, he was one of the chief architects in helping to draft and design it while minimizing weaknesses and maximizing opportunities to both stand against natural enemies, but also other clans when and if needed.

He also spent a considerable amount of time, nearly a month, helping us in our army revamp after the GJW as we devoted the entirety of our winnings towards that project as we had discussed the year prior.

In addition, he has been involved in our recent campaign developments; ensuring that the focus is wide enough that it benefits not just the force users our clan, or the army/miltary focused, but also the mercenary and alien types unaffiliated with the force/military which are a part of us.

Because of his constant focus on the betterment of Taldryan as a whole, despite not being on the summit, I am beyond proud to support this recommendation.

Congratulations General!

Zentru'la has always been one of our shining members, and even now continues to excel and demonstrate the values which define both him and his mercenary unit. This is clearly evident and shown through his earning of a Seal of Loyalty this past month. Since his last medal just over 4 months ago, he has participated in 91 competitions with an ever impressive Crescent split of 50 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 20 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, and 7 Crescents with Sapphire Stars; 77 total out of the 91 competitions he has taken part in. Amazingly well done, and phenomenal work!

He has also earned 2 GMRG ranks since then as well, and participated in two separate RPs with just under 5000 words total between them, in addition to 10 Clusters of Ice, and 7 Scrolls of Foundation.

Because of your continued efforts, I am proud to award you with this Amethyst Kukri on behalf of the Clan.

Congratulations, Zen! And thank you for everything you do.

Since their last award, Zen has participated in 8 competitions, written over 8.000 words of fiction and earned 5 Crescents (2 Diamond, 1 Ruby, 1 Sapphire, 1 Emerald. They also earned 57 Clusters of Ice and 8 Scrolls of Foundation.

Zen is a constant source of activity within the Clan. Organise a fiction competition, you’re bound to find his name in the list of participants. On the social side of things, he’s a constant presence on Discord. Always pitching in with comments and advice. Always ready to offer advice or a nice word.

As Praetor to the Voice, Zen has also been a steady source of activity. But I’ll let the Voice handle that part himself.

However it is in his work for the Shadow Academy that Zentru’la truly stands out in dedication and commitment to the club. He is the grader of the Test of Wisdom, one of the more longer lived pearls of the Academy. I’ll let the Headmaster properly handle his work as part of the Shadow Academy Staff but wanted to illustrate a specific example of the Test of Wisdom. A member submits x pages of fiction as their exam answer. Zen will have graded this inside 48h hours. That’s the part people know. The last exam he graded consisted of 16 pages (small font), Zen still got it graded inside the 48h window. He also provides in depth feedback. He spends at least 5 hours on each Test of Wisdom exam he grades. Overall, he’s graded 39 exams in the last 7 months and I’m scared to inquire how many Tests of Wisdom were in there. Additionally, he’s been doing this degree of work for 2 years now and does not have any indications of burning out.

As a member of Taldryan, Zentru’la is always there to help the fictional development of the Clan. Whether by organizing the Taldryan Military, planning future purchases, or helping to plan out how said military would react to certain fictional developments or how they’d best be arranged to support certain scenarios and so on. He’s been integral in getting me up to speed on how the Taldryan military is set up, how it would best support the ideas and plans for the clan’s storyline I was bringing to the table and how those would be affected by the inclusion and reaction of said elements. His efforts help ground the Clan’s overall storylines in a reality of sorts that only serves to increase the levels of realism inherently needed to have them carry any form of gravitas. Overall, his work has been of an unmistakable impact on myself and the clan as a whole. To give but one highly specific example: our latest planned fleetpurchase has been hotly debated for well over two months now, will cost us 34million credits and has led to a change in how the RGT staff and possessions look at Carriers. Now expand that example across plans to optimize our usage of at least 3 planets in our dominion and their planetary assets (while adhering to budget), and the structural management of how to structure and organize one of the largest fleets and militaries in the Brotherhood.

Zen, you’re one of the pillars of the Clan. Enjoy the Amethyst Kukri and keep up your insane levels of highly dedicated service to making the Club a better and more enjoyable place for everyone within it!

Additional reasons

Zen has the blessed job (or punishment, depending on the day I guess) of assisting me as P:Voice and working within the mysterious story group. To this end, in addition to helping manage the Voice queues (competition approvals, word count checks, character sheet discussion) he gets to help on my bigger projects.

The biggest one of note has been the long-in-progress Custom Disciplines. This project involved creating (and proofing) some 16 new tiered feats as selectable options for members. This wasn’t an easy task, due to how great the existing feats covered different archetypes, but Zen contributed massively to both the idea generation and the actual writing of the feats into an appropriate tiered system.

This system is also 100% manual on our end, and Zen is the only Voice staff member besides myself who can create these custom disciplines for the members, helping us keep that turnaround for requests to be mere hours from the member filing out the form to being able to use it on their sheets.

Story Group is its own bucket of fun, especially with the incoming “season” format. While Zen has always been a helpful participant in narrative discussion and proofing, he took it to the next level by helping write sections of the recent Resource Rush story and helped with input on the narrative for this first cycle of Seasons (which is written but pending club-wide release on the 3rd).

All in all Zen is both a workhorse, and one of the most dedicated members of the entire “fictional” component of the club. I cannot think of anyone else who takes our stories as seriously and with deep thought as he does, cementing his place as one of the best writers in the club, and best council staffer around.

Lord Idris Adenn, 2025-01-28 19:03:34 UTC

Zen is simply the best when it comes to Professors. The dedication that he puts in when grading Shadow Academy exams is second to none. Since his last awarding for Shadow Academy work, he has graded 56 Exams, and aside from the Test of Wisdom he keeps these gradings within the established 24 hour grading window.

Grading exams in our fiction department is a beast all of its own. It's not simply looking for correct responses to multiple choice questions. You have to dissect and discern the writing of the examinees and judge their comprehension of the discussed topics. To this end, Zen takes the time to really explain his reasons for the grades he gives out. He also offers examples of how to improve their writing.

I mentioned the Test of Wisdom earlier, and that Test alone is a juggernaut for grading. The fictions submitted are at times a significant length. We're talking 15+ pages of text. Zen grades the fictions as a whole dedicating hours of his time to ensure a fair and appropriate score is given. And again, he gives very detailed breakdowns of these scores and ideas for improvement. This is not required of him, but he chooses to ensure all members get the same dedication in his work as a professor.

Zen has more than earned this award in my eyes, and I look forward to continue working with him on my staff. Congratulations Zentru'la!
