Medal Request: Steel Cross
Prelate Etah d'Tana (8075)
The Steel Cross is earned, not given. Recipients of the award are often forged by their experiences as a leader or refined by the rigors of the tasks assigned to them. In Etah's case, the value of leadership does not have price tag, but one can be rewarded for the merit of their position.
Serving as a newly minted "Docent" within the Shadow Academy, Etah has earned marks from the Headmaster in the form of both Scrolls of Indoctrination and Scrolls of Foundation. Fundamentally, he does a lot for our club by working as a member of the Shadow Academy staff as it continues to refine its courses, bring new ones online and change its operating model. In addition to this workload, Etah also has served - for over five months - as both Aedile and then Quaestor of House Galeres.
During this time he has posted seven reports, hosted on competition and facilitated many more through his Aedile. He has also worked to breathe life into the Clan and House Prospectuses by reviewing, and drafting, edits for both pieces. These parts relate to both history of the units, as well as the general details of the planets. Last, but not least, he has served as a reminder - for his Aedile - as to what path to follow in leadership. His time with Ninj (Zakath) has done great things to guide the young Aedile on the proper path of leadership as Ninj continues to develop.

I would hereby to like to award Etah with a Steel Cross for his contribution to Arconaâs domination in Horizons by participating in seven events. These events were: Week 1 Poem, Week 1 Multimedia, Week 1 ID Scan, Week 1 Trivia, the Week 2 Battleplan, the Wiki event and the Run-On Etah helped his RO team to first place, putting out two posts, as well as securing third place for his team in the wiki event and fourth place for his team in the Battleplan event.
Etah has also created several documents that will be forming the basis of updating Galeresâ history and background. Having over 10,000 words easily in these articles will help the project members immensely and give them a starting point on future projects. Etah has also taken time out to create graphics for Galeres and Spectre Cell, despite not being in the Battleteam. Etah is one of my stalwarts in Galeres. Whenever I need something done, Etah is there, volunteering his services and making my life easier. Whenever an event occurs, Etah is there, participating and drumming up activity. I canât picture Galeres without Etah and Iâm sure Etah canât either. Congratulations on your Steel Cross, Etah.

I'm writing this recommendation for Etah to receive a Steel Cross for his work in 'Beyond the Horizons', the Feud between Arcona and Plagueis. Etah placed 4th in the Battleplan, as well as participating in [Week 1] Acronyms, [Week 1] Graphics, [Week 1] Poetry, [Week 1] Flash Game (QWOP), [Week 1] Trivia, [Week 2] Trivia, [Week 2] Graphics and he also helped his team to 4th place in the Run-on. Etah's hard work extended further than just participating in the Feud. He also encouraged members of his Battleteam to participate, both of whom assisted their teams greatly, as well as contributing to the overall activity and score of House Galeres. Etah has shown his ability to encourage others and I wish to show my appreciate for his dedication to the Shadow Clan and the Brotherhood at large with this Steel Cross. Congratulations, Etah.
Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar
Quaestor of House Galeres
I am proud to be writing a recommendation for Etah to receive a Steel Cross. His participation in the feud was outstanding as well as his hard work and willingness to get the job done. He was given a team that he didnât know an asked to work with them, a task that he got straight onto by emailing the whole team, as the email chain grew so did the direction of the Run-on as well as the participation that the whole team undertook. He helped his team secure third place and made himself a valued member of the team, giving input and participating as much as possible. From this he learned a new set of skills as well as participating he was also driving his own Battleteam to do the very best they could, leading by example as well as staying in touch with them. For all of his hard work and as Sang mentioned above, effort I am happy to be giving him this medal. Congratulations Etah and keep up the hard work.

Etah’s last promotion was in December 2013, four years ago. His last Merit was three years ago. In that time, he has been working his hardest to participate as a member, and serve when he has been called upon. In the time since his last promotion, he has organized two events, but he has also participated in 47 total events, including ten events in GJW XII. He has earned 85 medals, including one Bronze Nova, one Anteian Cross and one Dark Cross. He has served in many positions -- Team Leader, Aedile, Quaestor and even Recruitment staff member -- for approximately two years total in the last four years, with his most recent term as Aedile-to-Quaestor of Liath for eight months. He’s written more than 4,100 words of fiction, participated in run-ons that total six posts and 2,700 words, passed 32 Shadow Academy courses and earned five degrees, and has even managed to get married in that time.
Etah hasn’t always been in Tarentum. He loves Arcona, and is still proud of his time there, and has been trying to help encourage the growth of Tarentum by sharing the habits and attitudes with us that makes Arcona a wonderful place. Etah is passionate and cares about Tarentum, and wants it to be a healthy part of the Club. He is trying to be active as a role model to the Clan, as well as to Liath as its Quaestor. He communicates with me and the rest of Tarentum;s leadership on a daily basis, and is constantly trying to help share information and friendship with all of us. Beyond that, he helped create several events in conjunction with Ranarr (as his Aedile) for a competition within Liath to develop and evolve more of the Clan’s and House’s story and roles for our members. He has posted four reports in his tenure with Liath leadership, including trying to inspire activity for GJW XII. He’s spending hours each day on Telegram trying to boost Clan communication and activity, and reach out to every member in Liath, and trying to draw them in to help move Tarentum beyond our daily struggles, towards continuing to be a family that supports each other.
I am proud of Etah and all of his hard work. Thank you for your continued dedication to this Clan, my friend. Let this award be a token of my esteem, as well as our thanks to you as a leader in this Clan.

Battlelord Etah Killij Bloodfyre, has distinguished himself as a stout member of House Shar Dakhan. I have the utmost respect for this man and seek his counsel regularly. Etah has always been the one to see the logical side of things within the House. Always there to render such a outlook to the House, situation conversation, that always seems to make one take a more objective look at things. He is a natural leader. Etah spent five months as Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan. During that time he spent restructuring the House's resources to become more of a viable asset to all members of the House. Not only did he correctly restructure House resources, his mentorship guided two of our journeyman to knighthood, leading to one becoming a newly appointed Battleteam Leader. He also spearheaded the House’s Faction creation for the Ros garnering top 10 placement for that competition. Notingly his contributions to the RoS gained him 20 Seals of Fury! This achievement was the highest recorded in the House for the RoS amongst all our members. His knowledge and expertise is instrumental to the development of not only Clan/House, but more importantly member growth. It is with great pleasure that I recommend Battlelord Etah Killij Bloodfyre for this award.

Etah has had a go get em attitude since joining Clan Naga Sadow. While sometimes life kicks us when we are down, sometimes some things keep bringing us back. That sort of tenacity is part of the reason that I want to step forward to add my voice in recommendation for this Steel Cross. Etah is unafraid to being forth ideas and is always trying to think of new ways to inject new life into things. Keep up the good work, Etah, and enjoy the new shiny.

Etah has served Naga Sadow and House Shar Dakhan admirably. His time as Quaestor was spent trying to build up the house and when he stepped down, he left a legacy to be proud of.
Etah makes himself available to help the leadership team in any way he can and has encouraged and nurtured the current summit in House Shar Dakhan to strive to do better.
I am pleased to be able to recommend Etah for this prestigious award.
