Etah’s Sakiyan heritage isn’t immediately visible from a distance. From across a room his skin looks like an olive flesh color, but the closer you get to him, the grayer his skin looks. He stands at six foot, two inches tall. His hazel eyes are primarily brown but has a gray tint to them as well. By the time a person is close enough to him to see his ash colored skin, they can see the oval bulge on the back of his cranium and his sharp ears, so they’ve probably realized they’re not dealing with a human. The Equites years of military service show in his posture which tends to be rigid, standing straight with his shoulders back. His shoulders are a bit wider that most shoulders, but his build is not muscle bound; solid is a word that would probably come to mind instead.
Etah Obsidyn has a sick sense of humor, viewing the world through dark colored glass. He has a biting sense of black humor, often laughing at things that most people would find reprehensible or down right soul crushing. As a result, those that are not used to his brand of humor often find Etah Obsidyn downright unbearable or overly morbid. At the same time, his cynicism can be useful for seeing through the optimistic altruism of those he encounters.
While Etah Obsidyn will see a job through to its conclusion and put forward his best effort, it’s still just a job. Etah Obsidyn's true loyalties lie to his friends, and through thick and thin,he will stand by them and die for them if needed. This loyalty is reserved for those who have earned Etah Obsidyn's trust, putting him at odds with other Mercenaries that are only doing a job for the money. This also makes it harder for employers to trust his motives, often times creating extra competition and difficulty finding work. None of it matters to Etah Obsidyn, though, because loyalty to his friends is not something credits can buy.
Etah Obsidyn has a military background, and draws upon his experience to tackle the obstacles in his life. This makes him decisive, efficient, and fearless; provides him with a strong sense of duty and strength; which tends to influence his ability to fight and lead. However, a rigid mind is less compassionate towards individuals and less imaginative, and Etah Obsidyn sometimes risks appearing callous, relatable, or incapable of compromising.
Etah Obsidyn is extremely cocksure and headstrong. Possessing a keen wit and exceptional level of intelligence, Etah Obsidyn will often use his superior intellect to humiliate lesser minds. Basically, he is kind of a jerk, and that can sometimes get Etah Obsidyn in a bit of trouble.
Etah Obsidyn is utterly devoted to success in combat, no matter the mission, no matter the cost. He has spent his life building himself in the image of war, utilizing a dogmatic regimen that has lead him to a single-minded obsession with military success and requires intense physical and mental training. This training, however, has come at the cost of anything resembling empathy or concern for others - even his superiors and subordinates.
Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Etah Obsidyn has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Etah Obsidyn then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Etah Obsidyn has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
