Medal Request: Steel Cross KP Xathia (8396)

It is my distinct honor to present a Grand Cross to Xathia for her respective achievements in several arenas of Brotherhood and Arcona activity. The Grand Cross is the last medal to be rewarded before moving to the honored sacrificial blades and it speaks of a members initiative, dedication and desire to better the Brotherhood and their fellow members.

One of the hardest skills to measure for award within the Brotherhood is in the arena of graphic achievement. Indeed, we possess an Dark Council position dedicated to the feat, but rarely do we honor the little people whom labor at the clan level. Xathia has, with no reward in mind, created personal images for several individuals across numerous clans: Desdemona, Xuthen, Celahir, Rayne, Maaks (twice), Juda, Octavia, Phoenix, Sanguinius (twice), Sasher, Zandro and Archer. In addition, she has created several pieces of artwork that have been included in Clan Arcona projects and uploaded to our Wiki pages. Each piece involved several renditions until it met the demands of the individuals or project captains. A culmination of twenty images for Brotherhood members and lore.

Another area where Xathia has excelled over the past year is in the area of mentorship; specifically, with writing and combat writing. Collecting an impressive 25-0 record in the ACC is no small feat, nor are the countless hours she has spent mentoring Arcona's new members before the Ninth GJW or, simply, writers looking to improve their skill set. All in all, I can trace Xathia's contributions to getting five people prepared for Arcona's eventual win, compiling a guide for the GJW and providing tweaks and suggestions throughout the first half of the war for those seeking advice. In addition, Xathia helped several members with their Character Histories to an extremely advanced point (inception to the DB to present - Timeros & Zakath).

Each of these DB facets requires extreme patience and exceptional skill (to know and to teach are entirely different concepts). And her dedication to improving both the Brotherhood and members is admirable and a skill we seek in all of our Equites. For this, her prolonged service should be recognized with a Grand Cross.

I have, to be honest, no clue what I would do without Krissi. Starting out as a Judge, she has steadily taken over more and more of the ACC’s general functioning. Most important of these are, of course, still her impressive amount of Judgments and battle openings, at 16 and 26, respectively. However, that’s still not enough for her: Where she truly shines is in her dedication as our administrative head, having spent hours sending reminders and updating our gathered Excel sheet, showing us the true meaning of dedication to one’s job by doing what amounts to a full sweep of all active ACC battles (a number that’s exceeded thirty for much of the time she was a Judge), something that can take up to an hour, and doing this two or three times a day, every day, without fail, closing battles, opening new ones, issuing warnings and otherwise helping out with all things a member should do. It is, the Wiki tells me, appropriate to give a member the Grand Cross for ‘exemplary functioning’. Xathia certainly is an example of activity and dedication to us all. Take it and don’t ever change, Krissi.
