His time in the Dark Brotherhood has taught Zakath many lessons, one of which is that information is power, and information extracted from an enemy can be the most powerful of all. Accordingly, Zakath has taken the time to study many species and has learned to wield the tools of torture with deadly precision. Those who fall under his care will soon learn to do anything to avoid repeating such a fate… if they survive the experience.

As a loyal servant of Arcona, Zakath is not shy about doing what needs to be done, regardless of the cost. Although his time with Atyiru has begun to temper him by eroding his maliciousness, he is not above performing any dark deed if it furthers Arcona’s goals, and is willing to do anything from breaking kneecaps, torturing subjects for information, up to and including assassination of the Clan’s enemies and beyond.

Zakath is not one for taking the time to teach others what they need to know. If they don’t already know what they need to do the job, he is quick to cut them loose - if they are fortunate. But to those that know their jobs and performs well, Zakath accords them the respect due and gives them a great deal of latitude to perform their duties as they see fit.

Zakath has grown up in a hostile environment where the strongest ruled through fear, and this perception has held true for him into his time with the Dark Brotherhood. Zakath has become skilled at reading others and over time figuring out what their deeper fears are through a combination of subtle interrogation and background investigation, and uses that information to extract obedience from his people.

Zakath is not a nice person, but his direct approach to combat has lent him a peculiar kind of honor that sometimes startles or amazes his opponents should they ever face him. Zakath’s brute force methods mean that he will not play tricks or otherwise attempt subterfuge, choosing to leave those tactics to others. When one faces him in direct combat, what they see is what they get.

Zakath is to an enemy what a hammer is to a nail. He is not a subtle creature, and his combat style reflects it through his chosen lightsaber form of Shii-Cho, which he has chosen for its brute simplicity and emphasis on physical strength. When he engages in battle, his overriding goal is to crush the enemy as hard and quickly as possible. This is very effective in a direct one on one fight, but should the situation unexpectedly change, it can leave Zakath exposed and vulnerable.
