I am honored to present Alaris Jinn with his first merit medal in the Brotherhood. He has served as an aspiring student, and Consul's Aide, for the past month before his elevation to House Satal Keto Aedile. Now, he serves as a leader and role model by providing reports and competitions for his members. But that is looking forward to his glorious future.

In the past month, Alaris has worked with me to audit our rosters for promotions/medals, update our mailing lists (clan and both houses), work on progressive, new ideas for the Clan Identity and so much more. For his service and exceptional capacity to handle multiple duties on several fronts... I believe he has more than earned this small token.

Alaris did a complete audit on the 2008 Independence Games results. The process involved matching Pin # vs. Clan vs. Name. With as many participants as we had it was an arduous process and he did it in short order. It was truly an amazing feat and one he should be proud of completing with such efficiency.

Engaged in an unholy, three-way battle for dominance and power over rival Clans... Plagueis prevailed as the Second Clan of the Uneasy Alliances Clan Feud. The battle was hard fought, but several members executed their duties as leaders, role models and members to ensure our success. This success is but a very small step in the Clan's movement forward, but, alas, the movement forward is something to revel in for all whom call Clan Plagueis their home.

Alaris Jinn, Quaestor of House Satal Keto, provided great assistance to his Clan by attaining 17 points in our second place effort. Leading our Clan on the ACC front, he also provided assistance with the clan run-on; working with his fellow leaders to ensure success. As a member and the leader of Satal Keto, I endorse this award on his behalf.

Medal Request: Dark Cross Templar Alaris Jinn (9426)

Alaris serves Clan Plagueis in great capacity; first as an Aedile, then as the Quaestor of House Satal Keto. It is great responsibility for a newly minted Equite, but he serves aptly and with great determination to see his unit and our Clan succeed. And I honor the work he completed on our behalf for the month of September.

He works within the Clan as moderator and mediators; serving a role on IRC that places him in awkward positions which he navigates quite well. He uses this availability to contact each of his members, driving them towards excellence and getting them started on creating their own legacy as members of our club. Alaris also works to keep his House mailer audited and up to date so he can post his weekly reports - defining the direction and activity of his House. In addition to this, he pens our bi-weekly clan-wide competition the "War of Ascension" creating two to four pages of quality fiction as a 'jumping point' for others in our clan. His competition provides activity in both the writing and graphic department. He also catalogues the transpiring war so that we can appropriately update our clan wiki and finish the wiki article for the War of Ascension.

All in all, he serves as a badass for our clan and is the dominant leader of his house. He provides mentorship as a House Leader and as a personal Mentor of Kara Rohana. And he drives his fellow leaders to excel despite their laziness. All in all, he is a great member and a fantastic leader. Great work this month!

Medal Request: Dark Cross OT Alaris Jinn (9426)

Over the past several months, Clan Plagueis has been working to change their identity. The move required countless hours of brainstorming, hard work, research and communication from several individuals. And each member involved contributed something unique to the process and the overall, finished product (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/wiki/index.php?title=Clan_Plagueis_Prospectus).

If Yzarc was the instigator of all things Prospectus, it was Alaris whom embraced the idea the most. Taking it on himself, Alaris burnt the midnight oil to develop Officer & Enlisted ranks for the Army, Navy, Corps and Intelligence branches. He then coordinated the development of the Clan Plagueis Officer Ranks system by insisting we revise the merit system to affect Brevet Ranks. From this spurred the creation of graphics for the individual ranks (each branch, every rank) and the creation of branch uniforms (enlisted, officer, senior officer). Additionally, he also penned the House Satal Keto portion of the Wiki concerning the societal element of his House.

Thank you for all the hard work on this, Alaris. It will spur another huge, impressive phase in our continued clan development!

Alaris, Cethgus, Anubis, Vivackus, Morgiane, Vorn, Callus, Jaden, Sang, Kal, Cassandra, Octavia.

These twelve members of Clan Plagueis entered into an event without promise of reward or recognition beyond the event and activity with their clan mates. They shown what clan unity and clan loyalty means. Without these participants the Mirror Mirror Event would have failed. They put their time and effort into the event even waiting through the GJW for the second and third parts to be held. They diligently posted in the RO's and participated in a real time IRC RP something most people say is impossible to coordinate. With their cooperation and enthusiasm not only was Mirror Mirror a massive success, it was a statement to the Brotherhood that Clan Plagueis is strong and here to stay.

It is becuase of this selfless work, and loyalty to the clan, and to myself and Impetus as the hostesses of this event. I am recommending that all the participants of this event that was nearly longer than the GJW itself be awarded the merit award of the Dark Cross. They earned it through pure meritous action in this event.

Alaris managed to balance both acting as Consul of a Clan, a Wiki Staff Member, and finally a Docent for the Shadow Academy, but he does it very well. With the Academy, he grades exams for both Wiki Basics and Wiki Editing quickly and without having to be reminded. More importantly, however, Alaris wrote, edited, and helped us put together the new course Wiki Editing, which he is now the Docent of. For his time and dedication to not only grading courses but also writing them, I recommend Alaris for this Dark Cross.

Alaris is one of those members who, I think, often goes unrecognized. His accomplishments aren’t flashy, and he isn’t one to talk up his own activity. He doesn’t write reports or draft competitions. He doesn’t make a spectacle. What he is, is consistent. And that is far too uncommon these days. Over the past eight months, Alaris has participated in sixteen competitions, earning eight Crescents (three Emerald, two Sapphire, two Amethyst and a Ruby) in the process. That’s a 50% placement ratio, often against a dozen or more opponents. Despite his quiet nature, he is one of the members you know you can count on to participate regularly, and to contribute when needed. For his dedication and consistency, it is my privilege to recommend Alaris be awarded a Dark Cross.
