KCB Report

Holy Crap! He does exist! And so do the rest of the Envoys.

Yes, the Envoys still exist and are active. There’s been some recent turnover in members due to people coming and going, or moving onto other things, etc. But, the program is active. What follows is some specific numbers regarding new members as well as a couple public recognitions of some of the top “performers.”

This report is a bit brief because I’ve been refining my methods of reporting the statistics and keeping track of things, so there have been some changes to it. I send these reports about every two weeks to Jac, Mav, and Spears. Also, these reports I send do have a margin of error given the fact that I have to make a cut-off time and date- so if an initiate passes the Test of Lore after I send my report, then he’s still counted as an INI in the report. I generally cut things off two days prior to the report to give people plenty of time to do the initial stuff. Numbers fluctuate, so that one week we may get 20 new members and the next week we may only get 12.

First off, the period covered by this report is 2 months: March 5 through May 5. During that time, a total of 300 new people signed up as members of the DB (honestly, it’s that nice of a round number). Of those 300, 45 were directly recruited by existing members, or about 15%. So, the vast majority of people who sign up for the DB either find this on their own or forget to enter their recruiter’s dossier. I’m leaning towards the find us on their own idea.

Now, I bet you’re thinking why is this important? Surely Anshar has a better use for his and your time than to say stuff like this. However, direct recruits tend to move farther and faster in rank than their counterparts who came in on their own. So, this is an encouragement to try and recruit: the more ACTIVE people we have, the more fun we can have. It’s not good to have people just sit around.

Here are the public recognitions that I promised:
• Chi Long and Exar Kun get double recognition for not only having a high rate of direct recruitment, but also of having more people (as a percentage) advance beyond the rank of APP.
• For the past month, Arcona has had the highest number of direct recruits.

That’s really about it for this report. Since I was experimenting, I really don’t have a consistent set of numbers I can give you. The next time I do one of these, it’ll have some more useful stuff.

The Envoys and the Clan/House Summits are the first line of greeters for new members who aren’t brought in by a friend. However, I encourage you all to get to know new members so they stay involved. You may not have an official position and be charge with specific duties, and you may not have certain perks (read: access to Spears’ Twi’lek holodeck programs), but that shouldn’t stop you from being someone to talk to the new members.
