Vanda Emarr grew up never knowing her family. She was sold into slavery very young, and was put to work almost immediately. However, due to her age, Vanda Emarr bounced from owner to owner until she became a teenager. Having to endure horrible treatment during this time in her life, Vanda Emarr has lingering trust issues while carrying an absolute hatred toward slavers. If confronted with acts of slavery, she will most likely lash out in some way, regardless of it compromises her objective.

Vanda Emarr is devoutly loyal to her House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. She would sacrifice her own life to protect her House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds her ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and she can come off as extremely narrow-minded.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Vanda Emarr's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. She becomes focused and quiet, with her smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Vanda Emarr tells it like she sees it, when she thinks it; and she doesn't try to sugar coat what she says.

Vanda Emarr is utterly devoted to success in combat, no matter the mission, no matter the cost. She has spent her life building herself in the image of war, utilizing a dogmatic regimen that has lead her to a single-minded obsession with military success and requires intense physical and mental training. This training, however, has come at the cost of anything resembling empathy or concern for others - even her superiors and subordinates.

Vanda Emarr possesses a single minded drive for victory, and a deep-seated martyr complex. When presented with a chance to wade into battle versus overwhelming odds, Vanda Emarr does not hesitate, and instead rushes in, relying on skill, fate or chance to let her survive.
