Physical Description

Andrew Highwind, at a distance, is a short and relatively unassuming human male. He looks young and health, but the wrinkles unusual to his age have begun to gather. His eyes are a deep, piercing blue made only more noticeable by the constant dark bags under his eyes. His skin is light, with only the barest hint of a tan, and heavily weathered by age and exposure to the elements. He is tall for a human, and covered with thick slabs of muscle. His hair is dirty blonde, cut short into a professional military style, and his face is clean-shaven. A spattering of nasty burns and scars cover the lower-left side of his face, giving it an unpleasant asymmetry. His voice is deep and quiet, with a slight rural drawl.

The Women and the Children Too (General Aspect)

Andrew knows well the price of squeamishness. As a general, he often sought to preserve the lives of his troops and minimize any damage to civilians. His foes, however, were far less scrupulous, often taking advantage of his moral foibles and ultimately defeating him. Andrew now sees his kindness and chivalry for what it really was, weakness. He's sworn now to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goals. He will threaten children and families if necessary, destroy entire cities, abandon his allies, and sacrifice his friends if he thinks it will bring him closer to total victory. The thought of what he's done often gives him nightmares, and wracks him with constant guilt, but he remains firm that the only way now is forward. The ends justify the means, no matter the cost.

From My Point of View... (General Aspect)

Andrew was once a believer in the ideals of peace, knowledge, serenity, and harmony that defined the Jedi Order. Over time, however, he began to grow increasingly frustrated with the hide-bound conservatism of most Jedi, despising their passivity and unwillingness to intervene in galactic affairs. The tipping point came when his temple refused his plea to intervene in a civil war on his home planet. Abandoning the temple, he joined the war to protect his home and family, but both were destroyed. Now a disgraced general, shunned by his temple, and vilified by his people, he has become a deeply bitter and self-loathing man scarred by war. With nowhere else to turn, he was seduced by the Dark Side and now sees that the only way to bring peace to the Galaxy is by ruthless domination. His chains are broken, and the Force will set him free.

Moving on Up (Personality Aspect)

Andrew is a shameless, weaselly brown-noser. He's always looking to get a leg up on his competition and climb the ranks at any cost. He's opportunistic and utterly amoral, willing to squash friends and betray allegiances at the drop of a hat. Many people, naturally, find him to be a greasy little backstabber and wouldn't trust him as far as they could throw him. Simultaneously, however, they recognize that his ruthless ambition often leads to superior results. While he won't be making many friends, he can still be a useful ally to have. Just keep a back-up plan and both eyes open.

Heart of Darkness (Personality Aspect)

Andrew's ambition and thirst for power have corrupted him. He's callous, bitter, greedy, and generally an unlikable person. The closest thing he has to a real friend is his ever-present droid, but only because it's incapable of emotions.

Berserker (Combat Aspect)

Where most err on the side of caution in a confrontation, Andrew Highwind prefers to charge in head-first. While others may skirt a battlefield or keep their careful distance, Andrew Highwind rushes in with devastating attacks with seemingly no regard for safety, relying upon instinct and possibly armor to protect him from dismemberment and death during his all-out attacks. Andrew Highwind is a force to be feared on the battlefield, leaving a trail of death and destruction. However, Andrew Highwind's blood-hungry ways put him in far more danger than the normal combatant, often resulting in needless injury and suffering, trading safety for pure offensive ability.

I Must Break You (Combat Aspect)

Andrew isn't merely interested in defeating his opponent, something drives him to utterly dominate them. He will seek to systematically break his target both mentally and physically with his powers and attacks, trying the shatter them and leave them completely unable to fight before going in for the killing blow. This sadistic desire for supremacy often leads to him delaying, taunting, and extending fights beyond all reason for the sake of more thoroughly defeating his opponent, even to the point of giving up a killing blow. This method of fighting can be exhausting and mentally taxing to fight against, but often allows opponents more time to turn the tables on him.
