Areticus is layered with long, slicked-back black hair that is usually well kept. He is fair skinned with a complexion that reveals his youth, yet his formal posture projects his maturity of erudition. He has no visible scars or marks that entail a veteran and looks to have the build of an average athlete. His blue eyes possess a cloud of milky silver in the pupil that reveals his blindness. Though he keeps a steely gaze that, along with a firm jawline, have the traits of stern confidence and respectable intelligence.
When Areticus had sight, he became comfortable in the Dark. When it was taken from him, meditating on the Force brought him to the Light. He now relies on his abilities of Farsight, Sense, and Precognition to witness more than he ever could with his eyes. Whereas before he strictly only abided by Sith principles; this experienced humbled Areticus into an open-minded perspective in exploring both the Dark and Light Side of the Force. This has made him unbiased to those who practice either side of the Force. However, Areticus finds himself at odds with individuals who still hold a strict alignment to just one side of the Force as he once did.
Areticus' visions in the Force sometimes show him pieces of the then-most likely future events when he meditates on them specifically. While the future is always in motion, this affinity has given him regard as an Oracle to others, especially as e doesn't just give out fortunes; he will actually go and do something about it. Areticus' divinations give him cause to interfere and manipulate situations that he believes will affect the outcomes of great change. To him, this gift is a responsibility to keep order in nature and balance in the Force, whether his choices bring peace, happiness...or sacrifice, pain, and destruction. Whether or not his visions and actions are correct or for the better, however, is entirely up to question.
Despite his line of work, Areticus Altainatus still sees himself as a refined gentleman and will often put on a show of being haughty and arrogant to those he does not know. Areticus Altainatus only lets the mask slip to show his more laid back nature to those he trusts. To those he dislikes, he will actually become even more insufferable as taunts and quips without any regard for who or what he might be offending.
Areticus' brilliance and nack for investigation often bring him success in his strategies. He also loves to talk about it. With the success of his plans or schemes, Areticus will often lecture about them in detail using polysyllabic words that convey the impression of great erudition. He sees his victories as a way to impart a teaching opportunity. However, some others could see it as just plain monologing. His prolonged orations have often allowed a moment of time for his opponents to develop a quick plan against him or find means of escape.
Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Areticus Altainatus has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Areticus Altainatus then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Areticus Altainatus has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
Areticus only uses two weapons; his Sith Sword and the Force. Due to his physical blindness, he relies heavily upon Precognition, his heightened Perception through other senses, and the mastery of his skill with a blade to defend himself. He also employs Mind Trick to stress his opponents, causing them to give an opening Areticus can exploit. This has made Areticus very capable in combat despite his visual impediment. However, if he were to be disarmed from his blade or disconnected from the Force, Areticus knows he will lose. He will then resort to yielding to his opponent, or attempt escape.
