A Pau'an, Zumun Tuzul (pronounced: Zummon Tuh-zool) possesses a tall and slender frame. His face is gaunt and his golden eyes are sunken into dark sockets, his teeth are sharp and pointed and his pale grooved skin is hairless and inked with red Sith markings. Doonium ear coverings protect his sensitive hearing and are decorated with runic inscriptions. His left arm in its entirety is a black cybernetic with eerie red accents, robotic but menacing in appearance with sharp claws instead of fingertips.
For over a century, Zumun has dedicated most of his time learning the intricacies of the dark side and the art of the Alchemists that precede him. The accidental loss of his only child has created an insatiable drive to reverse time. Being driven to the Unknown Regions, he returned with vast knowledge but the knowledge he craves is never enough. More often than not he can be found reading his collection of ancient texts and obsessing over Sith Holocrons which have, in turn, twisted his mind. He utilizes what he finds whether the information comes with a warning or not. Proceeding with caution is out of the question and his reckless experiments have had costly outcomes, life is fragile but he continues to push the boundaries.
Having spent most of his life in the sinkholes and caves of Utapau, Zumun is most comfortable when submerged in darkness. This goes hand in hand with his dark persona but leaves him at a disadvantage when exposed to prolonged periods of light which he is always seeking to snuff out, in all of its forms. This has caused him to alienate himself from others as most can’t relate to his desires.
In fact, he is such a fan of darkness, he has extensively studied Blackness in an attempt to constantly shield himself in darkness, an obsession he has yet to Master.
All who gain power are afraid to lose it, and Zumun Tuzul is no exception. Some use their power for good, some for evil; Zumun Tuzul, however, knows that these are just points of view. He is on a quest for greater power, and uses all his skills and abilities to ensure his supremacy, regardless of the consequences.
People tend to reverently follow Zumun Tuzul’s lead and look up to him in difficult situations. Whether through inspirational behavior, fear and manipulation, or belief and hope for a better future, they think that Zumun Tuzul genuinely believes what he does. This is all a clever facade, however, as Zumun Tuzul is not always as upstanding and respectable as his followers believe. He is no idol, but an opportunist who knows how to manipulate a crowd into bettering his own machinations.
Zumun Tuzul seems to get his thrills, perhaps sadistic ones at that, from toying with his opponents. Some are content with simply striking down or injuring their opponent, but that is not enough for Zumun Tuzul. No, he wishes to see his enemy descend into madness or kneel before him as a blathering mess; or even better, as a fresh new servant with a muddled mind. The Puppeteer usually forsakes outright hurting and maiming his opponent and focuses on illusions, mind tricks, and other wicked means of destroying a person.
With a Debilitating Fear , Zumun leans towards the use of Terror to gain the upper hand, typically preferring to psyche out the weak-minded. While he can utilize it during combat, it can be taxing on his energy reserves. But with his sinister aura and appearance, he at times can mentally overpower or strike fear in those of lesser-resolve, while those who are used to such tactics are unaffected, albeit maybe a bit more cautious of his motives than afraid.
