Lav'anre is a sandy-orange Twi'lek of diminutive height and lean of frame. While she appears little different than any other female of her species to be found in a crowd, there is a hardness behind the young Twi'lek's brown-green eyes. She does have a web-work of scar tissue that runs along much of the length of both lekku. While she has no tattoos on these lekku like some of her species, she does possess a series of sharply-detailed, onxy-black tribal tattoos that run down her left arm.
Despite whatever all her other characteristics may convey, Lav'anre retains the air of a person that is confident, if not arrogant. Minor (and often, major) things in her body language - her walk, her stance, her expressions - reveal these feelings. At times, it seems she borders upon narcissism, especially judging from how much she enjoys her own company.
Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Lav'anre has never had a particular world to call her home. She grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to her, only the strength of individual merit. She is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables her to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.
This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting her at odds with those that value such things.
Lav'anre manages to always see the down side to every silver-lining, joyous occasion, or victory. Where some may see a boon, Lav'anre will often see the curse accompanying it, just around the corner.Lav'anre's constant pessimism can often lead to conflict and the annoyance of those around her, not to mention the dampening of spirits. However, this mindset is not without its benefits, for a pessimist is far more likely to be prepared for the worst and be left unscathed by it - after all, none are more prepared for the worst case scenario than the ones expecting it all along.
Lav'anre has a very bad attitude. She enjoys picking fights and causing trouble, and as such, she isn't phased by most encounters because, let's face it: she tends to be involved in quite a few of them around here!
Through a mixture of cocksure courage and arrogant swagger, Lav'anre will not back down from a challenge when called out, even if the wiser path is to walk away or let it go. Lav'anre's personality does tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way, which generally puts her into situations that escalate quickly to violence. While she may not be the one to always start a fight, she will always see it through to it’s conclusion. Some have tried to play a challenge off as idle banter, but when Lav'anre initiates or accepts a challenge, she does not hold back.
Lav'anre works hard to maintain an image of fierce tenacity despite being of a smaller stature. To that extent, Lav'anre has learned to not take jabs about her stature offensively, but to instead burn them quietly as fuel for her inner spirit. The flame that is sparked as a result is controlled by Lav'anre's discipline of never overestimating her own abilities or those of her opponents. She has trained to fully utilize her size as an advantage when fighting larger opponents. She knows exactly how to leverage her weight to deliver the most effective take downs or maneuvers. The effort to maintain this image can be draining at times, and when outmatched or overwhelmed, Lav'anre becomes susceptible to a loss of spirit.
