Introduction

It hasn't been that long since my last update, but a lot has happened. The biggest thing? Great Jedi War results were released. Additionally we have some Clan awards to announce and some other post-GJW business to attend to, so read on.

Great Jedi War XVI Results

War. War never changes.

In case you have somehow been living under a rock (Hi Patrick!), the overall results of Great Jedi War XVI can be found here in Atra's excellent results post. As was the case last year, I want to stop and encourage you all to give a shout out to the entire Council for doing all the work to run such a great event. It's never easy to coordinate everything that needs to put all in a row for these Vendetta events, and this year's went off without any major hitches!

What Plagueis was able to do during this Great Jedi War, however, was nothing short of amazing. We are, but a couple of members anyway, the smallest Clan in the Brotherhood and we ended up taking second place? Hot damn. What did the Clan that beat us have to do to edge out the win? Have literally 2.1 times our membership roster. Every single person, whether it was getting that one bin entry in or going so ham on the event that there is no ham left (we'll get to that later) contributed to what we were able to do. Each and every one of you should feel damn proud of everything that you did for your Clan and your clan mates.

Additionally, I'd like to recognize the members that hit 100% participation on bins in the war. This year was much more about participation than wars past have been, and it was great to see that we actually increased the number of folks that hit that milestone this year compared to last:

• Jecht "Doc" Var Vo'zda

In addition, our members were able to bring back 24 Novae of the gold, silver, and bronze types won during this war. Beyond that, we also scored 53 additional top ten placements across the Clan while earning competition crescents (for the first time with those placement, too). We also were provided with scoring breakdowns for everyone in the unit, so you can see what your scores were for each Phase as well as overall:

The Ascendant and Allegiant

As you might notice, the GIF above is the same as last year. There is a method to this madness, just as there was last year. The GIF was selected as a subtle nod to the fact that both Ascendant and Allegiant winners were from Canada, and it appears that the land of maple has once again defended their title. Read on who see who.

The Plagueis Ascendant is awarded to the member that amasses the largest total number of points for the Clan. In this case, the Ascendant was really ascendant as they scored more points than anyone in the entire Brotherhood. Not only that, but their point total was so high that the second place individual in the entire Brotherhood was closer in points scored to the tenth place finisher than they were to first. In fact, the winner of the Ascendant title this war took home that First Hero title by a wider margin than the Brotherhood has ever seen. We checked. It almost makes me think that we should just retire the award and grant it to this year's winner in perpetuity. However, it was decided that we shouldn't do that for one simple reason: If this year's winner can win the prize by this big a margin, it isn't unfair to expect they should be able to win it easily the next time around, right? RIGHT? But, in all seriousness, I'd like to congratulate this year's Ascendant in the person of Alaris Jinn for the amazing showing for their Clan. We may never see the like again. As the holder of the Ascendant title, Alaris has been awarded the following artifact which will be theirs to keep until they are forced to defend their title in the next Brotherhood Vendetta:

• Mortis Crystal - A lightsaber crystal that can drain Force energy.

The Plagueis Allegiant is, of course, our Clan fellowship award. This award is open to every member of the Clan to vote for whom they felt best exemplified the spirit of support and encouragement that Plagueis has always stood for. This is an award that neither Consul nor Proconsul are eligible for, as it is meant to recognize those that do not sit on the Clan summit for all that they do during these Vendetta events to help out their fellow clan mates. This year the vote was a closely fought affair, with the finish coming down to a single first place vote that separated our two top vote getters. But, this year saw our first successful "title defense" as it were, with Tu'Quan Varick retaining the title for the second year in a row. As Allegiant he will retain his control of the following artifact:

• Rakatan Energy Transfer Device - A Rakatan device designed for capital punishment that can transfer life energy from one person to another.

Both of these artifacts will be held by the member that earned them until the next Vendetta or if they leave the Clan. Congratulations to both of this year's winners!

A Special Shout Out

I did want to highlight an award all on its own before wrapping this all up. Recently, I had the honor of joining the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, and Justicar in recognizing our own Proconsul Qormus Aquila in the form of a Ruby Scepter. I would encourage everyone to take a look at the recommendations found within to understand what Qormus has done for our Clan and the Brotherhood. You might have noticed that Qormus wasn't around too much during the Great Jedi War, but I assure you there were real life issues beyond our control that took him away from the Brotherhood for a while and leave it at that. In a sense, for those of us that were aware of what was up, it was almost like we wanted to do as best we could for him so he could see all the results of his work when he got back. And, he got back into the swing of things just before results came in and they were better than we all could have hoped. So, take a minute and drop a thank you to our friendly neighborhood PCON fellow when you get a chance!
