Alector Lutah's skills as a medic are not just limited to holo-books and lectures. He has read up and practiced a handful of experimental treatments while inventing a few home remedies of his own. This allows Alector Lutah to work outside the box in less than ideal situations, and can lead to him solving mysteries other trained medics might struggle with. This, of course, comes with its own string of failures, as nothing is ever perfect. That, and some of the more established professionals in the field often doubt or question Alector Lutah's alternative practices. He typically brushes them off in favor of doing everything he can to help a patient, but does quietly seek recognition for accomplishments as a healer.

Alector Lutah fits the trope of Mad Scientist, or in his case, Mad Biologist. Due to his vast medical knowledge and questionable methods, he often experiments with the bodies of the living and dead. As much as he can use his skills to save lives, he will use them to torture people for petty reasons or get intel, be it amputating a limb without anaesthesia. He enjoys playing about with the genetic makeup of his subjects in the hopes of making something new, be it a monstrous abomination, an exposable weapon, or simply because he is bored.

Alector Lutah is extremely cocksure and headstrong. Possessing a keen wit and exceptional level of intelligence, Alector Lutah will often use his superior intellect to humiliate lesser minds. Basically, he is kind of a jerk, and that can sometimes get Alector Lutah in a bit of trouble.

All who gain power are afraid to lose it, and Alector Lutah is no exception. Some use their power for good, some for evil; Alector Lutah, however, knows that these are just points of view. He is on a quest for greater power, and uses all his skills and abilities to ensure his supremacy, regardless of the consequences.

Alector Lutah doesn't like to kill people; instead he chooses to injure his opponent until that person is unable to fight back or is otherwise incapacitated.

Alector Lutah, like most of his peers, has trained with a blaster though, just like any weapon, hates to use it. Instead, when forced to fight, Alector Lutah will use his surgical scalpels and anesthetics (poisons) to attempt to injure and incapacitate opponents. This requires his to get extremely close to his attackers and leaves him vulnerable to more maritally-inclined fighters and ranged specialists.
