Sala Fe is perfectly capable of fulfilling responsibilities and doing his duties. But goofing off and having fun will always have a heavy sway in his decision making. He sometimes ignores orders or finds ways to spend as much time avoiding an assignment as possible.

Sala Fe is no greenhorn when it comes to dealing with those who wish him ill. At some point, he managed to cross the wrong people, and now they've got a mark on his hide for it. While such experiences have hardened him for adrenaline-filled moments of evading those who seek to make him their quarry, he can never be quite sure if he is truly safe, for promises of wealth or power can turn even the most seemingly stalwart of allies to enemies with knives poised at his back.

Sala Fe is predominantly nonverbal, only speaking to those closest to him. Generally, he will use facial expressions, hand gestures, or body language to convey his message. That being said, once he considers someone a friend, those around him can find themselves wishing he would go back to being nonverbal.

Sala Fe does not understand metaphor or most jokes. Due to his young age, he will take things at face value and believe what those around him tell him within reason. While not naive or gullible, he does have a limited understanding due to his age and will often take things literally rather than figuratively. When he does learn of a new metaphor or phrase, he will often use it incorrectly at first until he gets the gist of what it actually means.

While Sala Fe avoids combat whenever possible, he has no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. Sala Fe has trained himself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, Sala Fe almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.

Sala Fe works hard to maintain an image of fierce tenacity despite being of a smaller stature. To that extent, Sala Fe has learned to not take jabs about his stature offensively, but to instead burn them quietly as fuel for his inner spirit. The flame that is sparked as a result is controlled by Sala Fe's discipline of never overestimating his own abilities or those of his opponents. He has trained to fully utilize his size as an advantage when fighting larger opponents. He knows exactly how to leverage his weight to deliver the most effective take downs or maneuvers. The effort to maintain this image can be draining at times, and when outmatched or overwhelmed, Sala Fe becomes susceptible to a loss of spirit.
