Since reuniting with her little brother Locke, Kiana has determined that she isn't going to leave him alone and has made it her mission to keep him safe, regardless of his protests that he can handle himself and that it's dangerous for a Jedi like her to be around him. In truth, using her gift for Farsight Kiana has interpreted her visions to mean he will suffer some horrible fate if she doesn't stay nearby, but she doesn't want to reveal this to him because she thinks he has enough on his mind.

Kiana knows it's dangerous to stay in the Orian System, but will never leave her little brother alone for too long if she can help it.

Kiana receives strong visions through the Force with Farsight, but even with her deep study of this ability she still isn't usually sure of the outcome. Sometimes these visions seem crystal clear, and she feels sure something will happen or needs to happen, while other times they mean nothing to her. She meditates on them frequently, but has a hard time sifting through what is relevant and irrelevant. Furthermore, there are few beings she's comfortable sharing these visions with and it takes a toll on her psyche to carry them by herself.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Kiana's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. She becomes focused and quiet, with her smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Kiana believes she is a true Jedi Knight, and upholds the set of values she was taught. She considers it her duty to protect those less fortunate than herself and to turn or defeat those who have fallen to the dark side, including her brother and other members of the Brotherhood. Still, she is pragmatic, and realizes this to be a virtually impossible goal at times, so she bides her time and helps civilians when she can.

Like the Jedi of old, Kiana is kind, brave, compassionate, and always strives to represent the common good. She believes that every action she takes to help someone, even at her own expense, makes a difference - especially in a star system dominated by Sith and Dark Jedi. She likens every small act she takes to a glowing ember in the void.

She offers most beings a warm smile, unless she strongly dislikes them.

Kiana doesn't just use her blade to fight. She also wields a twisted version of Dun Moch. Using her Empathy, Manipulation and principles of Dun Moch together, Kiana attempts to convince dark side opponents of the error of their ways or make them doubt that they chose the correct path. She combines this with typical practices of Dun Moch with the intent to distract or frustrate them so that they are easier to subdue.

This strategy isn't without risks, as an angry dark side opponent can potentially be even more dangerous than otherwise, and this entire element is useless against those with values she can't attempt to deconstruct. Still, if she can cause doubt or start them on the path to redemption, it's worth the risk.

Furthermore, Kiana refuses to use this technique on any opponent she views as having good values, whenever she may end up against them.

Kiana specializes in both Makashi and Soresu, deeply studying the classic forms that focus on dueling and defense. She deftly flows from one to the other, defending or attacking as needed. She is a conservative fighter who typically defends against a single opponent until she sees the right time to go on the offensive. Similarly, with multiple opponents, she will try to defend until she can isolate one of them or an ally comes to her aid.

On the other hand, Kiana doesn't have many advanced Force powers that are useful in combat, and only knows a few basic abilities, with the exception of her Creature Control.

Kiana can find herself in a difficult situation if she can't isolate multiple opponents. Furthermore, she will not put creatures in harm's way, even at the expense of her own safety.
