Appearance

Rayjax stands at an impressive height, towering above most with his tall and robust frame, as characteristic of his Wookiee heritage. His broad shoulders give him a powerful and imposing presence. He is covered in thick dark brown fur. Rayjax keeps it pushed back, ensuring it stays out of his friendly but intense forest-green eyes. Their striking green hue stands out against the backdrop of his dark fur.

Distinguishing Marks

While a textbook definition of a Wookiee, Rayjax does have a handful of unique characteristics that stand him apart from others of his species. He has tufts of golden brown fur along his face, creating a unique pattern that invokes a similarity with a Mirialan’s or a Zabrak’s facial tattoos. The blend of light and dark fur gives him a wild and rugged appearance that echoes the untamed landscapes of his homeworld, Kashyyyk.

His body is home to many scars, most covered by the fur that covers him. There are a series of crossing lashes upon his back, souvenirs from his time as a slave.

While a tall and wide-shouldered Wookiee, Rayjax moves with elegant grace, well aware of his size and its often intimidating nature.

An Arc Welder (General Aspect)

Rayjax's roots in Kashyyyk's forests instilled in him a profound love for nature, fostering a deep reverence for life's intrinsic spirit. Unlike some, he doesn't perceive the mechanical creations of sentient beings as conflicting with the natural order. On the contrary, Rayjax believes that all things mechanical harbor a spark of life, an interconnected essence within the grand tapestry of the universe. This perspective extends beyond droids and starships to even the simplest gadgets, such as datapads and blasters, each carrying a unique connection to the universal spirit.

This appreciation makes Rayjax unusually protective of all things mechanical, viewing them not as mere tools but as vessels of life. Consequently, he harbors a certain distrust for those who fail to recognize the inherent vitality within these creations. Rayjax, in essence, becomes an arc welder, bridging the seemingly disparate realms of nature and machine with a unique and harmonious perspective.

A Toolbox (General Aspect)

Rayjax is a perpetual tinkerer and finds great solace in the hum of machinery and the art of creating functional items. Believing that idle hands invite mischief, he is rarely without a project in hand. Whether it’s fine-tuning a ship, tweaking a speeder bike, or modifying a weapon, his large but dexterous hands are always in constant motion.

This occurs even during serious conversations. To those who know him well, they know his absentminded tinkering is not a sign of disinterest, but rather a manifestation of his boundless creativity. They know not to take offense, as often the tinkering allows him to focus more on the conversation at hand. However, those unfamiliar with his ways often interpret this multitasking as rudeness, oblivious to the fact that for Rayjax, being a walking toolbox is a perpetual and instinctive state of being.

A Hydrospanner (Personality Aspect)

Come what may, Rayjax remains unwaveringly loyal to his chosen family, bound by ties that endure the turbulence of the bounty-hunting trade. Navigating the unpredictable nature of their endeavors, Rayjax often finds himself reining in his crew, directing their attention to the task at hand. Despite not holding the official role of leader of the crew, he has earned the title of "the responsible one" among his peers. In times of crisis, the crew instinctively turns to Rayjax, recognizing him as a pillar of stability.

In the dynamic ensemble of his crew, Rayjax serves as the indispensable hydrospanner, diligently tightening the focus of those around him and providing a secure anchor when the chaotic currents of their profession threaten to pull them astray. His commitment to family is a guiding force, ensuring that, despite the challenges, they weather the storms of their dangerous pursuits together.

A Jack (Personality Aspect)

Rayjax's journey beyond the forests of his home began in the depths of despair, captured by slavers on Kashyyyk and stripped of autonomy and self-worth. Reduced to mere existence, he understands the profound darkness of despair intimately. Having navigated this abyss alone, he recognizes the transformative power of a helping hand. A gentle giant, Rayjax is driven to uplift those around him, fostering positivity and self-worth. His empathetic nature extends beyond acquaintances, often leading him to assist complete strangers simply because he can.

Rayjax stands as a beacon, a compassionate figure aiming to elevate everyone he encounters to a brighter emotional state. In the intricate dance of life, he plays the role of a jack, using his own experiences to bridge the gap and uplift others from the depths of despair to the warmth of connection and self-appreciation.

A Clamp (Combat Aspect)

Between a life of enslavement and the brotherly bond with Idris Adenn, Rayjax is intimately acquainted with violence, fostering a profound respect for life. While he won't shy away from lethal force when absolutely necessary, he prefers to preserve the lives of those he faces. Rayjax strives to incapacitate rather than kill, employing various methods to swiftly end confrontations, whether it involves shattering bones, dismemberment, or a formidable Wookiee hug designed to render opponents unconscious.

His preference for non-lethal means occasionally backfires when he underestimates the resilience of his adversaries. Believing a fight to be over, Rayjax has encountered opponents who unexpectedly persevere. In the arena of combat, Rayjax becomes a clamp, seeking to restrain and subdue adversaries, using his strength to control the situation and prevent further harm while navigating the fine line between incapacitation and unintended persistence.

A Hammer (Combat Aspect)

Rayjax rejects the notion that combat is a dance; to him, it's a swift, direct response to neutralize threats. Whether employing his formidable Wookiee strength, firing a blaster, or wielding steel to break bones, he opts for the most efficient path to the finish line. Frustration sets in when faced with adversaries who revel in the artistry of combat's ebb and flow. The longer a confrontation persists without resolution, the more his impatience morphs into a simmering rage.

In the heat of battle, Rayjax transforms into an unyielding hammer, each strike aimed at a conclusive end. The desire to swiftly conclude conflicts prompts wild, relentless attacks, occasionally leaving him vulnerable. Rayjax becomes a force of unwavering determination, seeking to finish and move on in a single, resounding blow, refusing to indulge in the prolonged theatrics of combat.
