Syrena Valkar grew up never knowing her family. She was sold into slavery very young, and was put to work almost immediately. However, due to her age, Syrena Valkar bounced from owner to owner until she became a teenager. Having to endure horrible treatment during this time in her life, Syrena Valkar has lingering trust issues while carrying an absolute hatred toward slavers. If confronted with acts of slavery, she will most likely lash out in some way, regardless of it compromises her objective.

Every legendary story seems to have at least one charming and optimistic character. If that's the case, then it only makes sense that Syrena Valkar has decided to be that person. After all, if everyone is too busy whining and groaning about the negatives, how will anyone ever reach the positive? True, Syrena Valkar's constant belief that things will get better can be terribly grating, especially to pessimists or those just level-headed enough to realize when things truly are going downhill, but Syrena Valkar's constant positive outlook can serve to sometimes spur others to action when it feels like the world just wants them to lay down and die.

Syrena Valkar has a tendency to be secretive and keeps to herself, relying on deception to conceal her motives and intentions. She is a schemer, and plots and plans against others carefully. When dealing with a confrontation, she will try and bluff her way out of trouble, or overcome obstacles with deliberate, covert actions.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Syrena Valkar's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. She becomes focused and quiet, with her smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Syrena Valkar has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows her the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Syrena Valkar then uses her own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Syrena Valkar has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Even the most gifted of weapon masters understands the importance of physical fitness and disciplining the body with through martial arts training. Syrena Valkar has trained vigorously in unarmed combat by fusing Teräs Käsi and Echani with other unconventional forms. While this martial focus helps bolster her prowess in close-quarters combat, Syrena Valkar is still limited in scope when facing down a less direct or ranged threat.
