Physical Description

Jorad Erinos is a stocky muscular human male just reaching the end of adolescence. With short straight black hair usually styled by his helmet, heavy brows, tanned skin the colour of well-milked caf and dark brown eyes, he is quick to smile and seems to have a face made for it.

His musculature is easily evident and it's obvious he has spent a lifetime planing his body for combat, possessing the build of a fighter more than a bodybuilder. He has hair on his arms, legs and a dusting across his torso but remains unable to grow any facial hair of substance. His skin is free of blemishes or scars and he has no tattoos.

Scourged of Flaws (General Aspect)

Like Sashar’s other children, Jorad and Beten weren’t born; they were commissioned. Using a genetic template from Sashar and his long-time paramor Dash Kuatir, the twins were designed to be flawless. Any predisposition to diseases or allergies has been removed from their genome. They have been designed to be the perfect athletes, have an overactive metabolism, and their memory is eidetic. The net effect gives the boys a disquieting mien of perfection that does not waver. Even in failure, they seem flawless. This leads others to occasionally forget the fact that they are, when all is said and done, only human, and a young pair of humans at that.

Long Shadows (General Aspect)

Jorad and Beten are the sons of Sashar Erinos. His name was well-known - for good or ill - in the Brotherhood for a long time, and whilst some memories fade, the stories don’t. It isn’t uncommon for the twins to either be held to blame for the sins of their father, or else compared directly to him. This is a double-edged sword, for obvious reasons.

I Think I Might Regret This (Personality Aspect)

Despite his heritage, Jorad usually is up-beat, cheerful and impulsive. ‘No’ isn’t regularly in his vocabulary and is always up for fun or trouble (the two seem interchangeable for him). He is easy-going to a point, however, he is something of a firebrand. Quick to anger when crossed, he is as changeable as the sea and will not easily back down from a challenge or a fight. This can often lead him to bite off more than he can chew, but his likeability means he’s seldom alone when he finds himself in trouble. Of particular note, Beten can (sometimes) talk him down from making a stupid decision, but if not around the more grounded twin, Jorad could one day find himself in more trouble than he can handle.

It's a Twin Thing (Personality Aspect)

Jorad has been around his twin brother since before they were born. They are never far from one another and have an extremely close bond, even for twins. They intuitively know what the other is thinking, how the other will react and work seamlessly together in most situations, becoming two halves of a whole. When separated from his brother for any length of time, Jorad initially becomes distracted and struggles to manage independently, taking time to adapt to being on his own.

I Have a Plan; Attack (Combat Aspect)

Jorad isn’t one for subtlety. When let loose, he prefers the direct approach and a combination of luck, skill and his brother have thus-far kept him alive to tell about it. If an opportunity presents itself, he would happily shoot an opponent in the face mid-monologue rather than wait patiently, and similarly he does not wait for the perfect killing stroke. A target dead from twenty minor lacerations and subsequent blood loss is just as dead as one who was decapitated in a particularly showy manner. The idiom ‘fools rush in where angels fear to tread’ is applicable here, as his linear plans may leave him having bitten off more than he can chew.

Prepare for Trouble and Make it Double (Combat Aspect)

Jorad and Beten have trained together since they could walk. They complement each other perfectly in combat and often don’t need to communicate verbally for one to know what the other has planned. They instinctively protect and cover one another, often at the expense of all else. This excellent display of teamwork has its drawbacks, however, as if one of them were to be incapacitated, it would surely be devastating to the other.
