At first glance, the strongest of his appearance is that of a Kessurian-Ryn hybrid, bearing the tall frontal horns of the former species and their distinct scales and pointed ears. Meanwhile, a long, furred tail winds from his spine, a gift of his Ryn heritage, as is the violet coloration of his skin. Rue bears animalistic fangs and long, flowing waist-length hair, itself shining whenever light hits it, making the violet, scarlet, and gold gradient all the more beautiful. The same coloration is seen on the long, sleek metallic fur of his tail tip, and even on his thick eyelashes and straight brows. Bright goldenrod eyes will occasionally, demurely lift from their downcast state, complimenting pale saffron scales in patterns similar to tiny, tightly clustered petals and leaves, framing his cheeks, cheekbones, and forehead. The scales continue up his horns and down his neck and spine, small patches of the flowers gathered on his shoulders and thighs, graduating to a richer marigold and sweet orange at the tips and outer edges.
Despite his height, Rue stands with a permanent servile stoop, and is severely underweight for his size, skin clinging taut to bones and sinew stretched thin, every single rib, spinal bump, and notch of joints clearly visible, from hip bone to elbows, knees, and fingers. His nails are short and dark and his right arm terminates just below the elbow, the rest of the limb missing. Rue's skin shows no sign of any scarring, save for two sets of silvery brands: runes in ur-Kïaat on his chest, and a scimitar on the back of his neck, underscored by his serial number: SP-FKRD-29-0034991.
Rue Kendis's skills as a medic are not just limited to holo-books and lectures. He has read up and practiced a handful of experimental treatments while inventing a few home remedies of his own. This allows Rue Kendis to work outside the box in less than ideal situations, and can lead to him solving mysteries other trained medics might struggle with. This, of course, comes with its own string of failures, as nothing is ever perfect. That, and some of the more established professionals in the field often doubt or question Rue Kendis's alternative practices. He typically brushes them off in favor of doing everything he can to help a patient, but does quietly seek recognition for accomplishments as a healer.
Rue Kendis's life is filled with training and learning for all sorts of situations, from the mind-numbingly normal to the utterly bizarre. As such, Rue Kendis has developed into a rather resourceful individual. This has made Rue Kendis a mix of academic and scholar, always with something to offer to any discussion. However, knowledge and training does not always translate well to the tense environment of the battlefield, and no amount of textbooks can prepare one for reality...
The Jedi are selfless, caring only about others. Rue Kendis is compassionate, brave and always strives to represent the common good. He tries to help everyone he can, even at his own expense, and is a fine role model for others to follow.
Rue Kendis doesn't like conflict; so he tries to avoid it whenever possible, both in terms of combat, and interpersonal relations.
