Creativity is an important aspect in everyday life. To that end, over the next twelve weeks, let’s raise our the creative levels in the Brotherhood. Join us by pushing yourselves to think outside of the box and write some great Haikus.

Every week will feature a different writing prompt, and every week the Haikus will grow in difficulty.

The difficulty changes can be as simple as more difficult prompts, or it can be difficult prompts and more stanzas of the Haiku. Harder Haikus are worth more points, and it's more likely to set you apart for that week.

If you can push through, and score high, you could become the Haiku Champion of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood!

Requirements for participation:

•Subscribe to the weekly competition, and submit either a .doc, .docx file, or in the text box.

•No Google Drive Links Will Be Accepted

•Follow the prompt. If the three judges agree that this hasn’t been done, you will be disqualified from that week’s challenge.

•This is a haiku, so you must follow the 5-7-5 syllable count, as well the stanza requirement posted in each week's prompt.

•Satirical entries will be accepted and graded accordingly. If they fail to properly reflect the spirit of the prompt, it will be reflected in the scoring.

•Do Not Plagiarize! Plagiarism will be reported to the Justicar.

•Have fun and be creative. Show us what that brain of yours can really do.

Grading:

Haiku’s will be graded out of 20, 60, or 100 points depending on the difficulty of the weeks challenge. The grading rubric that will be followed is as follows:

Spelling/Grammar: 20%

Creativity: 30%

Entertainment Value: 20%

Originality: 30%

Rewards:

Each week the rewards will be as follows;

1st 10 points + 3rd tier crescent

2nd 9 points + 3rd tier crescent

3rd 8 points + 3rd tier crescent

4th 7 points

5th 6 points

6th 5 points

7th 4 points

8th 3 points

9th 2 points

10th 1 point

And at the end of the twelve weeks, the top ten point earners will be decided, with the top three earning 2nd tier crescents, and bragging rights. Now everyone, go out and be creative!
