Choose Your Adventure

Your entry has the chance to shape the direction of the Vendetta storyline. Your task is to choose 1 of 3 separate objectives to write about for your entry. The objective that garners the most entries will be used to steer the Vendetta storyline into a related course of events.

Objectives

Entries must use one of the following three prompts:

Objective 1: Rescue

With the containment cells all unlocked, riots have erupted across the space stations prison sector. Among the madness, you find Brotherhood prisoners of war.

Your objective is to extract the Brotherhood POWS. These can either be random members of the Iron Forces or the various factions such as the Inquisitirous or Shroud Syndicate, members of your Clan or clan forces, or even members of rival or allied Clans. Beware of other prisoners that were used as experiments by the Collective.

Objective 2: Lock Down

Meridian has been infiltrated by Brotherhood and Clan strike teams.

Your objective is to lock down the station’s escape routes by whatever means deemed necessary. Take prisoners, dead or alive. Control and prevent the escape of any Collective personnel.

Objective 3: Eradicate

Hit the Collective where it hurts. Take what resources you’re able to, but set the stage for the destruction of the space station. Hit the Collective where it hurts, and give them a taste of their own medicine.

Your objective, through either planted explosives or other creative means, is to destroy Meridian Prime space station so that the Collective truly loses a major asset. If this objective is chosen, be mindful of recovering the data core of the space station...if you’re able to extract it in time.

Rules

In order to have your fiction count as a vote for your objective of choice, your entry must contain a [Objective X] tag in the submissions file name, or the document itself. Any entry that does not include an Objective tag will not count towards voting, but is still eligible for participation/placement.

• Entries must be a minimum of 500 words. Any entries that are under 500 words will be marked as Disqualified.
• There is no maximum word cap.
• Your story should be centered on your Main or Alternative character. Slotted NPCs, Wikipedia NPCs, or other characters that you create or invent to tell your story are not only allowed, but encouraged. However, your narrative should focus around either your Main or Alternative character.
• A snapshot of your Main or Alternative character loadout must be selected and submitted with your entry. Failure to attach a snapshot will prevent you from placing.

Grading will be done utilizing the Fiction Rubric.
