Petth was rather happy that she was being allowed to go off on a mission without Ethan. While she did enjoy the human and all the things they did together, she did not appreciate how he kept her on a leash. So when Ethan gave her the thumbs up to cut loose on the 5th Fleet of the Severian Principate, she was more than excited.
Ethan was very clear that she was to aid the Principate when it came to dealing with these mutineers. As such, if she received the signal to back off then she was to back off. However, Ethan did not say how much damage Petth was allowed to do. A brief talking with Parf, Ethan’s pilot droid, and having a Severian technician to backup the droid’s memory drives, she had the perfect opening plan.
Flying her own personal M3-A Scyk Fighter and Parf flying the Bachelor’s Pad, they joined in with the Severian fleet. She didn’t clear her plan with any higher ups, why would she? She was told to deal with the mutineers. So as soon as the fleet came into view and she got the order to engage, she clicked on her comm-link and whispered to Parf to begin her plan.
The Caelus was an impressive ship, but also a big target. PA-R4, or Parf, almost gleefully initiated its hyperdrive. Petth heard the confusion from the Severian forces as to why the single Class-B shuttle was speeding ahead of them, but then the comms went silent. No matter how big your ship is, no matter how strong the metal and the shields, when you are hit by something traveling at the speed of light, something is going to give.
“Here I come, oblivion!” Was all that was heard on the comms from Parf. The Flying Bachelor Pad and it’s pilot droid were evaporated from striking the Caelus while moving through hyperspace, while the Imperial I-Class Destroyer suffered heavy damage. A large hole was ripped through the bow and portside of the ship, the edges of the hole glowing bright white from the heat of the metal being sheared away. A few other ships from the 5th Fleet also took damage, from the shrapnel flying free and also moving at faster than light speeds. While many looked on in horror as the bright white lights carved through the Caelus and a few other ships, to Petth it looked beautiful.
The confusion as to what just happened gave Petth and Severian forces enough time to get the upper hand. The Caelus was more or less considered out of action from the damage, and the 5th Fleet was too in shock at first that by the time they got their nerve back, they were being assaulted. Their fighters scrambled, but they were at a disadvantage, many of them unable to even get out of the hangar without a Brotherhood of Severian squadron taking them out.
The battle was hard fought, but ultimately the combined forces of the Brotherhood and the Severians came out on top. After the destruction of Caelus, Battlestar, Maliwan, Shiloh, Zircon and the Axion, the rest of the 5th Fleet fell back into line. They surrendered to the Severian Principate, understanding their folly of going against their commanders order’s. Petth got yelled at, about what and what exactly was said she wasn’t sure, because she didn’t pay attention. At the end of the day, she traveled back to meet up with Ethan and the rest of Odan-Urr.

I did a narration of the first part of the GJW XIII Prologue. Transcript is below:
Affinity
Deputy Grand Master’s Ship
Hyperspace
37 ABY
Evant Taeylan was impressed. With Morgan taking off with the ship usually relegated to the Deputy Grand Master—the Limbo—Evant had to work quickly to replace it with a suitable vessel. Thanks to his personal oversight, Arx Capital Exchange (ACE) had done well to retrofit the Affinity with the uplinks to not only the Shroud Syndicate and Shadow Academy databanks, but a secure path into the Advance Inquisitorius Network (AIN). In short, the new Deputy Grand Master had access to any information he needed, even when on the move.
He was going to need every advantage he could get.
Sitting in his high-backed chair, Evant studied the group of emissaries gathered in the briefing room of the Affinity. They were a diverse group, to say the least, but what else did he expect when they had asked each of the Clan’s to select one representative each to accompany him on such short notice. He was familiar with one of the faces, at least. Marick had sent him the dossiers on each, but Evant hadn’t had time to review them all.
The lone Weequay of the group stood out with his leathery skin and his almost too relaxed demeanor. Despite his seeming lack of concern, Qaanlug Vlux had done some solid work for ACE, and at the very least understood the Brotherhood’s current financial position. The real question would be how well he could bridge the barrier between the Imperial roots shared by Scholae Palatinae and the Severian Principate. Evant nodded to Vlux, who offered a lazy salute.
Next to Vlux was Damien Blackadder. Evant quietly hoped the representative of Odan-Urr would be able to help convince his Consul—Aurora Ta'var—to be more inclined to work with the Brotherhood for the sake of gaining this knowledge. They had
“Si vis pacem, para bellum...”
“If you want peace, prepare for war...”
made slow progress with the joint research on the recovered artifact from Meridian, but the Principate still presented a wild card variable in their stance on the Force, the Jedi, and the Sith.
To Blackadder’s right sat Darren “Shooter” McGavin, the representative from their latest addition to the Brotherhood. Clan Vizsla considered itself on retainer for the Dark Brotherhood and were contractually obligated—and paid upfront—to conduct work on behalf of the Grand Master. Clad from head to toe in Mandalorian Elite armor, the veteran mercenary had removed his helmet for the sake of the meeting and was idly drumming his fingers against its T-shaped visor.
Back on the opposite side of the table closest to Evant was Ariac Simonetti. The seasoned officer had been a staple of Clan Naga Sadow’s naval prowess for years. As Regent, Evant had interacted with the Admiral on their new ships after the destruction of their previous fleet.
Beside Simonetti was a pair of women Evant was not as familiar with. The first was a Chiss woman going by her core name: Zadosa. She had an aura of unwavering self-confidence and Evant idly wondered how the Clan Plagueis representative would handle the delicate topic of her clan's views and usage of slaves. Carefully, he hoped.
The second woman was a Zeltron representing Clan Taldrya. Of all the representatives, Amari Ana seemed to be one of the few truly interested in the actual diplomatic implications of the meeting at hand and how it affected the Brotherhood and therefore her interest.
The last member of the group had seated herself furthest away from Evant. Violet D’slan was easily the strangest of the group. The representative for Clan Arcona’s could not have been more than twenty years old, and seemed to be scribbling nervously with a stylus on her datapad.
Evant took a deep breath and began to cast his presentation into the table’s holographic projector. This was it: his first major operation as Deputy Grand Master. What could possibly go wrong?
“Thank you for your impetus in joining me on this diplomatic endeavor,” the Deputy Grand Master started formally as he addressed the seven assembled representatives. “We will be arriving shortly in the Lyra-3k-a system, where we will be rendezvousing with the diplomatic vessel Ninox.” As Evant spoke, the holographic image of a Raider I-class corvette appeared and then rotated in place above the holo-pad built into the center of the table.
Evant made another swiping gesture with his hand and the image shifted into a holomap of a star system.
“The Lyra 3K-a system is considered a ‘neutral’ territory by the New Republic, with several key stakeholder interests for the Severian Principate. We’ve identified three primary areas of interest that the Brotherhood will be focusing on during negotiations.”
Evant waited again for any questions or looks of confusion. The seven representatives stared back at him with varying degrees of feigned and genuine interest. The Deputy continued.
“To start, the Principate have granted the Brotherhood permission to visit the moon world orbiting the gas giant Eorilia, where they have established a colony simply named: Lyra Colony.”
More holographic images flashed by, keeping pace with Evant’s briefing. “The colony was built on top of a set of ancient, subterranean ruins. As a gesture of good faith, the Principate has invited us to help explore these ruins with the hopes of sharing information gleaned between the Imperial Reclamation Society and the Principate's Archives. What interests the Grand Master more, of course, is the remnants of the Jedi Temple that was discovered, and its ties to the Order of Aspectu.”
Evant paused for slight affect as the holo-pad cycle through what intel they had on the colony, the ruins, the temple, and the assets recovered so far.
“The Ordu Aspectu was a splinter group of the Jedi Order, but I know that the High Councilor would be very interested in seeing what has been recovered,” Damien Blackadder mused.
“Scout and identify assets of interest. Reclaim and report our findings. Should not be a problem for Clan Vizsla,” Shooter’s gruff voice replied.
“Thank you,” Evant nodded before moving along in his presentation. “Second, the Brotherhood will be making contact with the Temnos Excavations Co. to observe their operations on the moon of Thillon, pending approval from the Principate. They have allegedly struck a rare kyber mine, which I’m sure I don’t need to explain how that could become an invaluable trade partnership for ACE.” Qaanlug Vlux perked up in his seat as he started to run some mental calculations.
“Finally, we have identified a derelict shipyard that could become a much needed asset to refueling and repairing our fleet—”
“—According to these reports, it seems that an independent contractor has been working to restore it to being fully operational,” interjected the older man wearing a crisp uniform.
“Excellent point, Admiral Simonetti,” Taeylan conceded. “This is why I suggest we operate with caution. My hope is that we can find out more about the shipyard during the deliberation with the Principate.”
“Seems pretty straight forward,” Zadosa commented.
“Is there anything else we should know about the Principate representatives?” Amari Ana followed up.
“You’ve been given dossiers on the three we will be meeting on the Ninox,” Evant responded. “Make what preparations you need, we will be arriving in Lyra-3K-a in a few hours. Dismissed.”
As the delegates rose from their seats and began to exit, Evant turned to who appeared to be the youngest member of the gathered delegation. She seemed to be waiting for everyone else to leave before even so much as standing from her seat. She seemed to be trying to take up as little space as possible as it was, and had been mute during the entire briefing.
“Miss...D’slan, was it?” Evant asked, quickly double checking his datapad. Evant started to ask her a question, but stopped when he noticed that she was wearing a pair of modified, polarized goggles. He had seen similar prototypes before, but it still gave him pause. “Is there a reason you’re wearing those tinted glasses...inside the ship?” he asked instead.
“Oh. Um...I was instructed by M-Miss Vasano not to remove them for the course of this diplomatic m-mission,” Violet replied somewhat shakily. She fidgeted with a strand of her curly black hair and glanced from the table, up to the Deputy Grand Master’s eyes, and then back down to the table. “Um, I mean, my lord.”
Evant blinked twice. She must have been referring to her Quaestor, Lucine Vasano. That probably explained why the Acolyte that usually spent her time working with the Shadow Academy Society was a bit overwhelmed.
“Right, well, whatever works for you” Evant replied, unsure of what else to say to the young woman. Violet simply stared at him mutely from behind her tinted glasses. “You can return to your lodgings to prepare.”
“Oh, right, y-yes, of course,” Violet stammered as she stood up, made an awkward bow with both hands tucked tightly to her sides, and then hurriedly skittered out of the room.
Evant cast a quick, longing glance at the stash of liquor floating on a shelf above the meeting room. He shook his head, sighed, and took the opportunity to do some more reading before their arrival.

Story
“I assure you, Mr. Daley, that the vessels you are reporting as attacking the shipyard are not from the Iron Navy, nor would any of our military personnel do anything to put the lives of Lyra Colony or the Shipyard in danger,” - Evant Taelyan
As representatives of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and The Collective met with leaders of the Severian Principate, Collective forces disguised as an element of the Brotherhood launched a false-flag surprise attack on the Principate, hitting targets across the Lyra System. The Collective feigns shock and ignorance as the Brotherhood scrambles to contain the situation and the Principate stands poised on the brink of war. Out of this discord, new opportunities have presented themselves to the Clans, from salvaging diplomatic ties with a new ally, to securing new sources of power and profit for themselves.
Summary
A decisive blow has was struck in the ongoing fued between the Brotherhood and the Collective. With the death of the Technocratic Guild leader known as Daggo Mouk—and the loss of Meridian Space Station—the Collective have scaled back their harassment of the Brotherhood. Their withdrawal gave the Dark Council some much needed breathing room to reinforce their hold on their respective territories. The continued conflicts with the Collective—combined with meeting the material needs of the Dark Council's new home world, fleet, and personnel—stretched the Regent's coffers thin.
In the hopes of reaching a trade deal with a new partner, the Grand Master created an opportunity to meet with a new organization that could stand to be an invaluable partner for the Brotherhood. They call themselves the Severian Principate.
With the leadership of the Brotherhood shifting gears, Evant Taelyan was appointed Deputy Grand Master. His first task? Assemble a group of delegates from the seven respective Clans, and take them to the Lyra-3K-a system to meet with representatives from the Severian Principate.
Our story begins here.
[Prologue]
If you want peace, prepare for war...
The Deputy Grand Master has assembled his team of diplomats that represent each of the Brotherhood’s seven clans. Their destination? The Lyra-3K-a star system to meet with diplomats from the Severian Principate with the hope of forging a mutually beneficial alliance between the two powers. While the Iron Forces make their way towards the locations of interest, however, the Collective makes a bold move to disrupt diplomacy as discord looms on the horizon...
[Chapter One] Catalyst
"Opposition brings concord. Out of discord comes the fairest harmony.”
Just as the Brotherhood begins a historic diplomatic meeting with the Severian Principate, the Collective has made a hard move to sow discord and disrupt the potential alliance. Under the disguise of Iron Forces ships and pilots, they have launched multiple false-flag attacks on key locations in the Lyra-3K-a system. In a desperate attempt to prevent the deal from falling through, Deputy Grand Master Evant Taelyan has sent out an encrypted, coded message across the Advanced Inquisitorius Network (AIN) calling on all Brotherhood personal to lend aid. The fate of this potential alliance now hangs in the hands of the Seven Clans of the Brotherhood.
[Chapter Two] When Words Fail
"Truth is stranger than fiction because we don’t meet it as often.”
Although the Brotherhood has produced evidence of the Collective false-flag attack, the Severian Principate remains skeptical of the Brotherhood's motivations. To make matters worse, elements of the Principate 5th Fleet have taken up arms against the Brotherhood system-wide.
[Finale]
Location
Galactic location of the Lyra-3K-a star system.
The ‘’Lyra’’ system, so designated three hundred years ago by the Old Republic explorators, is a small out-of-the-way system rarely seen or featured on hyper lane starcharts. It has seen several colonization attempts in the past with every colony failing for one reason or another. The system is inhabited by several thousand Severian Principate citizen-colonists and military personnel attempting to carve out an existence among the megafauna and megaflora of the only inhabited world in the system - Eorilia’s Moon.
Theaters of War
Theaters are places particularly important to the Brotherhood - and the Collective - in the Lyra system. Some information is available about the locations themselves in the fiction updates. Each Theater will have an overarching objective the Brotherhood hopes to accomplish, but that is no guarantee the Clans have the same goals!

Phase II Theater Upadte
An Increasing Threat from the Collective and 5th Fleet Mutineers
Although the Principate ambassadors have been provided evidence exonerating the Brotherhood, they remain skeptical of the motives of the Brotherhood and its Clans, but they are now also mistrustful of the Collective. Despite the government’s reassurances, many individual civilians - and military personnel of the 5th Fleet - still believe the Brotherhood to be at fault for the recent attacks. Across the Lyra system, despite the urgings of the Principate government, mistrust dominates and Brotherhood personnel are viewed - at best - with skepticism. Outright hostilities have broken out between significant portions of the 5th Fleet and the Brotherhood, and additional 5th Fleet assets have entered the Lyra System and are reinforcing all Theaters. Not all of these assets are mutineers, and particularly for newly arrived forces, they are still potential allies for the Clans, depending on the actions of each Clan.
Lyra Colony
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Explore the ancient temple ruins, and secure its secrets and artifacts.
SITUATION: The Brotherhood had been granted access to the ruins beneath Lyra Colony prior to the diplomatic mission to Lyra, but only a handful of Imperial Reclamation Service personnel had made planetfall before the Collective attack framing the Brotherhood as aggressors. Their communications have been completely cut-off, and their fate remains unknown. Meanwhile, the Collective has ‘come to the aid’ of the Principate, and now have a heavy presence in the area of Lyra Colony having deployed companies of Jedi Hunters, Mercenaries, and Fanatics at the only known entrance to the ruins. They are likely to employ the same suicide tactics used elsewhere to frame the Brotherhood. Early transmissions from the IRS unit before comms went down mentioned an artifact, quite similar to the Technocratic Artifact recovered from Meridian station, had been discovered in the Ordu Aspectu temple deep inside the ruins and moved off-world by the Principate. Nonetheless, IRS believes the temple ruins contain impressive knowledge. With the Collective now moving into the ruins themselves, that knowledge will be pillaged and lost should they reach it. Moreover, the Collective has been galvanizing residents of Lyra Colony on the surface against Force users and the Brotherhood, making for a volatile situation on the streets.

Transcript from Discord, Chapter 2: When Words Fail
Battlelord Takagari “DarkHawk” KogaRyu #264 as Harvey Daley
Knight Xuner Holst as Evant Taelyan
Battlelord Etah Deimos Kilij-Bloodfyre #8075 as Varryn Antillus
Warlord Ciara Tearnan Rothwell Tarentae #359 as the narrator
Narrator:
Aboard the Severian Principate Diplomatic Ship, following the
false flag attack, the ambassadors of the Brotherhood, the
Principate and the Collective gathered to discuss the current
controversy and their response to it.
If vindication was to be achieved, it was going to take time,
and time was something they did not have. Even with the combined
efforts of all the Clans and the full attention of the
Inquisitorius, there was still a prominent cloud of doubt that
hung ominously over the meeting room.
Each of the diplomats from the Brotherhood had shared
information garnered from their respective Clans and testified
with facts and data, but Varryn Antillus seemed to have an
answer or excuse for everything.
The Chancellor of Capital Enterprises was doubling down on the
need to bring in more Collective personnel and ships to help
better defend the Lyra-3k-a system from this new threat –
regardless of what it was – and it was working. They had already
moved in to “assist” with mining operations on the Moon of
Thillon. Convenient.
In lieu of what seemed like the unequivocal truth, the damage to
their reputation had already been dealt. Even if the Brotherhood
wasn’t responsible for the false flag attacks, they were not any
closer to discovering who was really behind the attacks. Key
evidence was destroyed in the assault, and witnesses were hard
to come by, leaving what facts and data available only pieces of
a larger picture.
Varryn (in a boasting tone): I can think of nothing more
important than the safety and security of every citizen of the
Severian Principate. Something we can best assure by our
stronger military presence here.
Evant (in a resolved tone): All of us here want the same thing.
My team is doing everything they can to uncover the truth about
today's transgressions, and we will stop at nothing to get it.
Varryn (in a smug tone): Unless they already have it, and will
stop at nothing to bury it.
Evant (in an irritated tone): You’ve made your opinions clear on
the topic already. Have your intelligence teams managed to find
anything to add to the investigation?
(A chime from a datapad can be heard in the background)
Varryn (in a glib tone): Well. My team has something. I need
some time, though. May I suggest we shelve this meeting for now
and reconvene at a later date with more information? I see no
reason to rush a partnership with the Severian Principate, given
the tragedies that have occurred here today.
Harvey Daley (in a flat tone): I concur. However, none of you
are free to go. I’ve been instructed to hold all of you in the
secure cells aboard this vessel. The accommodations aren’t
perfect, but they will be sufficient for a short stay until
further notice.
Varryn (in a slightly annoyed tone): That’s entirely
unnecessary. But, we will accept your conditions and remain in
your care for the time being.
(The sound of movement and shuffling can be heard)
Harvey Daley (over a loud speaker): Oh, no. You won’t be needing
your things. You will leave all your belongings and follow these
guards to your accommodations for the time being.
(More shuffling can be heard)
Narrator:
Evant took a deep breath, trying to calm his mind as he prepared
to follow, forced into a position he was not familiar with as
essentially a prisoner. He managed to catch one last glance at
his datapad before he locked it as a diplomatic security officer
confiscated it. It was an encrypted message from his ship,
Affinity, which could interface with the Advanced Inquisitorius
Network, among other things.
The message read clearly and simply: Deputy, beware. Collective
agents have infiltrated the Severian Principate as
stormtroopers. Planning assassination of Brotherhood diplomats.
Evant (sounding exasperated): Terrific.
(More shuffling can be heard)
