This competition is in the Event Long Multimedia Bin. Participating in a competition in this bin for the first time awards 3 points from participation to your unit. Cumulatively, the placements in this competition are worth 20% of placement points in the competition. See the parent competition for detailed rules.
SCENARIO A: Plagueis Ground Assault
You are responsible for the deployment of the Plagueis Ground Forces from orbit onto Zsoldos. The objective of your assault is to breach the Roark-Cole-Tresor (RCT) Research Station and obtain any prototype equipment within it. Destruction of the RCT Research Station is undesirable, however in the event of failure to capture the station this is a viable option.
The majority of space craft are engaged above Zsoldos, and the Plagueis Summit has the use of Orbital Bombardment to Consul level approval (i.e. it isn’t an option to work into your Ground Force Assault Battleplan).
SCENARIO B: Vizsla Ground Defense
Vizsla informants have revealed that Plagueis is preparing to target the Roark-Cole-Tresor (RCT) Research Station. You have been selected as Ground Defense Commander and are responsible for placement of defenses and contingency planning for the coming assault. Contingency plan should include, at a minimum, the Vizsla Forces reaction in the event that the RCT Research Station is overrun.
The majority of space craft are engaged above Zsoldos and will not be available for ground defense. Refer to Defense Forces list and exceptions listed below.
Plagueis Ground Forces Ascendant Legion - Transport Command Ascendant Legion - Legion I
Note: Refer to Plagues Possessions Page for sub-units
Vizsla Ground Forces * 1st Strike Group (see Exception 1 and 2 below) * 2nd Strike Group (see Exception 2 below)
Vizsla Ground Force Exception 1: The Vizsla Summit has directed that Strike Group Corvettes, Heavy Cruisers, Kom’rk Fighter Flights, and TIE Squadrons are to engage the Ascendant Fleet in the space above Zsoldos. These assets are not available for use in your Battleplan. Vizsla Ground Force Exception 2: Battleteam Deathwatch TIE/D Squadron and Kom’rk Fighter Flight are available for Ground Force Defense with operational control granted to the Ground Defense Commander (that’s you). The Battleteam Deathwatch Corvette is not available.
Note: Refer to Vizsla Possessions Page for sub-units below Strike Group Level
Valid entries will come from one (1) member but must consist of a two (2) to four (4) person team. You may only work with members of your own team, though exceptions to the rule can be made if there is a shortage of competitors. Members can be part of one (1) team only.
Valid entries must outline some type of plan that attempts to carry out the mission as outlined in the competition prompt using provided details and have at least 500 words of content. Valid entries must also have participation from every member of the team, contributing a reasonable amount of effort, with a summary of each member's contributions as well as their dossier pin numbers provided with the entry.
Please provide this plan in an exported PDF or .jpg. Powerpoint or Google Slides are acceptable formats.
Entries will be graded based on the Battle Plan Grading Rubric. Any resulting ties between teams will be broken by evaluating all tied entries against which fits best into the specific scenario.
