NOTE: Only members of Clan Taldryan are eligible to participate in this event series. Others who participate will be disqualified.

The Great Mock War I

Following the abrupt retirement of the former Supreme Chancellor, things have been different. Several significant events that immediately followed had just as many unanswered questions, along with a sudden quietness that had begun to drape itself over the Taldryan Republic's sphere of influence after the conflict at Saijo. His replacement, former Calerian Senator Cassandra Oriana Tyris, has carefully contemplated those events: The mysterious death of the previous Vice-Chancellor and Grand Admiral, the destruction that rained down upon the 19th Saber Imperial Remnant's throneworld of Virgillia for which the Republic is being directly blamed, and the increased kyber harvesting and militarization of the Subterrel remnant who had helped orchestrate the entire Saijo conflict. With careful advisement from trusted leaders and Taldryanites, she is convinced that something is coming. The calm before the storm, if you would.

To that end, it has been decided that this is not a time to be resting but the exact opposite. The Taldryan Republic, widely known for its powerful navy and military, needs to remain at its peak capabilities in the event another conflict rises or it is called upon by the Brotherhood. A special contract has been written and signed with General Zentru'la, the leader of Vornskr Batallion and respected long-time Taldryan ally, to help conduct special wargames against the Taldryan military. His task, to gather a mercenary force of members who honor contracts just as much as he, to rival that of the Taldryan Republic's 1st Legion. Half of the Taldryanite's have also been assigned under his direct command to work with him and his forces.

The remainder of the Taldryanites along with the 1st Legion itself are being placed under the command of Taldryan's central artificial intelligence unit V.O.D.O, to serve as their opponent in a 'Mock War'. The mercenaries will be paid in kind, and valuable combat experience and readiness will be gained by Taldryan. To ensure proper protection of the Republic during this time, and in the event any mercenaries act out against them for any reason, the Taldryan Republic Naval Fleet will be on guard status throughout the system with both the Axios and Leviathan directly stationed over Kasiya and the fleet at large will not be participating in the mock war.

To avoid a loss of life or casualties, weapons used during this conflict will be kept on their stun settings only and any bladed weapons will have blade guards installed to protect the opponent. A strict prohibition has also been placed on anything that could render death upon any member of the two teams, with incapacitation being the upper limit of what is allowed. Injuries, however, are expected to occur.

* Week 1 - June 3rd to June 13th
* Week 2 - June 14th to June 24th

Competitions are divided into 7 different containers, or bins, with 3 designated for Event-Long and 4 designated for Weekly, two for each week. Participants will earn points for the first competition that is participated in within each bin, and additional points for a Top-6 placement within each competition. Individual competitions will award crescents as normal, with increased crescents awarded based on participation numbers.

Event-Long bins will award 5 points for participation, and Weekly will award 3 points.

In the event of a point tie between members at the end, final placement be determined by the number of 1st placements in each competition. Should that be the same, 2nd placements will be factored in, followed by 3rd if still a tie.
