Competition: Solo or Co-Op Fiction - A Chosen Path

Solo or Co-Op Fiction - A Chosen Path

Objective In the midst of a wargames battle between the Blue Wampas and the Red Charhounds to ‘capture’ a village that volunteered itself and ‘claim’ it’s town hall in the northeastern reaches of the Karufr Lowlands, a young woman suddenly appeals to you and an enemy team member who were just now fighting each other, for aid. Her daughter, Lily, has been missing for several days after journeying into the Karufr Forest for mushrooms to help her ailing father.

According to previous intelligence, near the northern side of the forest there is a medium sized fort created by Gammoreans that serves as their home. Until now, there have been no reports or signs of aggression from them nor have they had any interest in contacting the outside world. They are, however, highly territorial and defensive of their land from all outsiders…including children.

You have three decisions that you can make.

Decision One Attempt to put aside your differences with your enemy combatant and forge a temporary alliance to work together and focus your attention to rescuing the innocent child who is missing from the forest. These are just wargames, after all, and helping innocents is important. But can you two really focus on working together? Decision Two Help the mother find her daughter, but refuse to work with the enemy combatant that you were fighting with. The enemy combatant also wishes to find the daughter as well, and the two of you have now made it a contest to see who can rescue her first and bring her back to the village as the final goal, even if that means stealing her from one another after her rescue. Definitely make for a unique bard story in the local tavern..

Decision Three Ignore the mother’s pleas and resume combat, your goal being capturing the town hall with just your enemy in your path and their leadership who is also within the village’s bounds. After all, orders are orders and the family are not Taldryanites but just mere commoners. Let the town guards handle it.
