If you're reading this at any time during 15 ABY, then the ritual succeeded and the letter is in your hands before Terok Nor is lost to us. By now, you've taken command of Terok Nor, the new prison facility that will supply the Imperial war machine with the resources needed to sustain the conflict with the New Republic. During the course of the war (which will end some 4 or 5 years from now.), you'll receive regular shipments of alien prisoners to work the mines.

One of them is a Barabel prisoner named Zakath. When that Barabel arrives on Terok Nor, execute him immediately. You can chalk it up as “Shot while attempting to escape.” I know, you're thinking he'll be very useful in the mines. But he'll manage to stage a prison revolt and seize control of the command center, and proceed to make an example of the Imperial overseers- and fricking lucky, our wife and kids were visiting at the time.

He'll end up decapitating them and leaving their heads for you to find when you eventually wrestle back control of Terok Nor, but he'll manage to escape during the retaking. You'll kill him... eventually. But I rather he died before he ever makes his move. I think you'll agree with me.
