You and your Battleteam have made the perilous journey through the explosive gas clouds, you have braved the squadrons of Black Sun interceptors patrolling the hidden city, and have snuck aboard the rebuilt sky world named San Korinar, where you hunt down the traitors who turned their backs on you and your brethren, while you were all off fighting in the crusades...
Without your brothers and sisters, would you still be alive? Without you, would they still be alive? You may not always see eye-to-eye, you may sometimes want to drive a blade between each other’s shoulder blades from behind, but one thing forever holds you together: purpose.
Like them or loathe them, friends or foes, you and your Battleteam are comrades.
Poetry
This Poetry Event calls on you to commemorate your Battleteam in poetry and verse.
You are free to use whatever form of poetry you find best. It can be a simple haiku, or you can write a full sonnet, or even be experimental and try out a villanelle; the choice is yours.
Being the twenty-first century, you are not expected to write Shakespeare -- unless you want to! -- and so there is no requirement for the poem to rhyme or be in metre. Or, to phrase that in technical language: you are allowed to write in free verse.
