Specifics

Newcomers to the playing field. Mavericks, defiant to the Final Way. Shadows, saboteurs, spies, and guerrillas all. They strike from below, beneath, and within, their strikes small and hard to notice - until the war machine falls apart. They are the lone defenders of freedom and justice, the sole keepers of hope for the Light Side, and the newest obstacle of the Final Way.

They are the Jedi of Odan-Urr, and these are their stories.

Every two weeks, a new Tales competition will be released for Third-Level Crescents. In it, members of the Brotherhood, Light and Dark alike, will be presented with a Jedi of Odan-Urr to explore and learn about. They will write fictions about these Jedi in action, get a window into their hearts, their minds, and their souls. The Jedi will learn of their legends; the Sith will understand why their foes cannot, and should not, be underestimated.

At the end of the year, the winning entries of each competition will be compared against each other in a final bracket, weeding out the very best among the exceptional entries. The winners of this final judgment will recieve Second-Level Crescents, for outshining the best of the Brotherhood's fiction for the entire year.

Competition specifics will be released with each entry; entries will be judged on a rubric of twenty-five points, consisting of up to five points for Spelling/Grammar, Continuity, Description, Plot Structure, and Creativity. Tied entries will be judged on a sixth rubric, Originality, to break the tie. Failing this, tied entries will both move on to the final round.

Entries are free to take any liberties that the author desires with the character or possible plot lines; I want a good story, not a history lesson. Many stories will take place during past events that shaped the character in question, therefore, liberties may be taken with the personalities and attitudes of the Jedi in question. Don't give me exactly what happened - give me an enjoyable read.
