Setting

A series of insane events has finally forced two strong clans together in an alliance: Plagueis and Tarentum. Plagueis is recovering from the assault from the "One Sith" forces led by Xander Drax who escaped from the clutches of the Plagueian forces in their recapture of The Anchorage. Drax, able to flee into the depths of The Anchorage where the Plagueian forces dare not follow, found out quickly why he was able to hasten his "escape" encountering ancient, evil forces. Tarentum, on the other hand, has experience dealing with such dark forces; experience that Plagueis will reach out for. Tarentum is in the new hours of a completely different political landscape, trying to find its feet and move forward. Both clans are seemingly in prime position for an alliance, both have an evil streak in common, and both may need each other with the recent surge of those throughout the galaxy who might look to seek out the darker sides of the Force and eliminate them.

Event Details

The Plagueis-Tarentum: Forged Alliances cooperative event is an attempt to intermingle two proud clans of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood in good natured, healthy, competitive fun. The event itself is a mixed team event where 2 members from one clan come together with 2 members of the other clan to comprise a team of 4. Throughout the event will be individual and team based events. In the end, the teams with the most points overall throughout the event will be the ones that place, as a team. However, team participation isn't required to take part or place in the individual events.

Team sign ups will be on a "rolling" basis, to which you can sign up for here. As people sign up, teams will be assigned. However once in a team they are locked.

Scoring

Scoring will be based on a simple system:

• 5 points for participation
• 5 points added for a first place placement
• 4 points added for a second place placement
• 3 points added for a third place placement
• A multiple modifier based on the perceived difficulty and time required to complete an event (ex: 3x, 2x, 1x)

For example, if you participate and place in second place in a "medium" difficulty event then your point add up would be as follows:

Point Total = (Participation + Placement) * Modifier = (5 + 4) * 2 = 18 points

Or, if you participate in the same event but don't place in the top three:

Point Total = Participation * Modifier = 5 * 2 = 10 points

Incomplete teams with ≤ 3 members will be given an adjustment handicap at the end of the event to compensate for the difference in points due to not having a full set of members.

This scoring system maintains the spirit of Plagueis and Tarentum in that what you do matters: participation matters. The modifiers and placements will also ensure that the overall competition for point accumulation remains competitive, friendly, and fun.
