The Dark Cross is Awarded to those who have shown a strong level of activity within their Battle Team by participation in competitions and events!

Marrek Gunstinson has really made a dent in the Shadow Academy gaining his Maven’s in Flight and General history which bumped him into Society Rank IV. Marrek also took steps towards the ACC in completing his ACC certification, while participating in the Operation Sojourn Run-On with two posts to earn 2 Clusters of Ice and two crescents! He was responsible for recruiting and guiding Adam Bolera who has been a major success in a variety of areas that are not limited to the Shadow Academy itself. Marrek serves as an ideal mentor to Adam in the way of being around to answer questions and nudging his apprentice to get to know the fellow members of his Battleteam, which has sparked an eruption of activity from the master/apprentice duo that has made Shadow Phyle the rising star that it is. Since Adam’s recruitment Marrek has received a Scroll of Indoctrination, a Scroll of Foundation, one Crescent with a topaz star, and two clusters of ice which he gained from participating in the Run-on portion of Operation Sojourn.

Marrek continues his tradition of being a shining light for Qel-Droma and Arcona. Even though he has reached the coveted rank Dark Jedi Knight he has maintained a high level of activity, including a stable IRC presence, on top of being a full time student.

He has participated in 5 competitions including, but not limited to: November 2013 Gorefest, Kintocass' IRC Trivia, Tarentum IRC Trivia, Watchword, Operation Sojourn's Run-on. Through this hard work he has earned 2 Clusters of Fire, 2 Topaz Crescents, 1 Scroll of Indoctrination, 1 Scroll of Foundation, and 2 Clusters of Ice.

He hasn't stopped being the best and brightest within the halls of Antei's Shadow Academy either. He has completed an impressive 9 Shadow Academy exams: Cryptography 101, Capital Starship Studies, DB History I, History of the Sith Empire I, Pre-Republic History, Old Republic History, History of the Sith Empire II, History of the Sith Empire III, and ACC Fundamentals. This has earned him the Dark Maven of Flight and the Dark Maven of History added with Rank IV within the Shadow Academy Society. This alone is an amazing feat to have accomplished so quickly.
