Primary reason

House Qel-Droma and Clan Arcona are very lucky to have a journeyman like Revs. In the short time since his last promotion he has won the clan-wide August pilot of the Antei Contract Bureau, turning in three fiction contracts of considerable length and earning himself the title of “First Blade of Arcona” which he now defends in the September pilot. In that same period he also completed the Advanced Lightsaber Studies course and participated in the Intra-Clan feud “Operation: Figureheads.”

What I find most impressive about Revs is his spirit, that despite work and real life challenges he still maintained what activity and presence he could, never giving up the struggle toward Knighthood. The determination to stick to one’s goals and slug it out, one blow at a time is a fine example for journeyman and senior member alike. It is my honor to present Revs with his first merit award, an Anteian Cross. Well done!

Additional reasons

I met Revs not long after he joined Arcona and the guy became my apprentice within hours of that first contact. Since that, he started taking on the Shadow Academy a few exams at a time, competed in several competitions and interacted with the membership. This includes the August Pilot of the Antei Contract Bureau, where his ambitious nature revealed itself. Revs won first place in this competition, taking the lead with three contracts, totalling three thousand, six hundred (3,600) words. In this competition Revs’ writing skills were put to the test, where he outscored a Battleteam Leader and a former Battleteam Leader.

The Sith didn’t stop there: he participated in the recent Arconan Operation: Figureheads, and scored above a ninety (92%) percent in the Shadow Academy Advanced Lightsabers Course. Revs has been scooping up promotions left, right and center to where he only had the time in rank remaining. That is, until recently, where his work schedule and real life issues have slowed his IRC presence and general activity. Despite this, Revs has shown in the past few weeks that he will make time to accomplish small tasks and complete ACB contracts, where his writing has shown dramatic improvement. He has the potential to be amongst the best writers the Brotherhood and a Leader to continue the Dark Jedi Brotherhood into the next generation. Given time and if his performance continues along the path he started, it won’t be long before we see Revs competing in the next Antei Combat Center Tournament.

In my opinion, Revs has been a model of what all Journeyman should aspire to be. As soon as this young member catches sight of something, he strives to exceed expectations. He jumped in the deep end with a startling eagerness to succeed and proved himself in both the Shadow Academy and the August Pilot of the ACB. His skill in writing and critical thinking has shone through, avoiding the classic errors that new members discover in their first year whilst competing amongst above-average writers. Revs pulled off a win through numbers and a sheer determination to excel, combined with an intuitive grasp of combat mechanics. It is my belief that Guardian Revs has more than earned this Anteian Cross.

Congratulations, kiddo! Keep up the good work!
