Primary reason

Fourteen pages of history in Seraphol’s long career at Sentinel Ranger detail heaps of activity, leadership and commitment to the Brotherhood. Out of this long history dating back as far as 2006, he has served at various Aedile, Battle Team Leader and Shadow Academy positions. From the personal interactions he’s had over the last few years, I can vouch for his fun attitude and positive energy that he utilizes well in his roles. Most notably, the Knights of Allusis - one of three Battle Teams in Clan Odan-Urr was under his leadership, thriving with activity and a positive outlook towards the Brotherhood. Like all great leaders, he can be found at the forefront of activity throughout all of our notable events. He is a man of insane talent, with the capacity to give a unit his best leadership without feeling the burnout that inevitably follows a successful term. Without him, an important part of Odan-Urr would have crumbled, leaving the Knights of Allusis as a mere imprint in our historical records.

He’s mentored members and students under his guidance, attributing to his inspiring presence and complete devotion towards the advancement of his membership. Never has he asked for reward or recognition above his members; he would rather see those who follow him under the spotlight. This is a quality that I admire, and one that I would like to see take root in more of the Brotherhood. Few could match his activity since his last promotion - he’s a behemoth in gaming, and completely devoted to Odan-Urr’s success. He is a fair and caring individual, providing unprejudiced decisions and suggestions where needed. This was most evident in his application for the position of Quaestor, and the reason that he was appointed for the task of creating a new House from scratch. I can’t have built a lot of this without him, and would no doubt have made mistakes if it wasn’t for his advice and leadership.

Its been a long time coming, but I know that Seraphol has finally earned some recognition for his valiant efforts to bring some activity out of Odan-Urr. He’s earned this promotion twice over, and its time his service was awarded. Congratulations!

Additional reasons

Seraphol or Daniel Stephens as some of the the older members may know him is something of a legend. He seamlessly combines the wisdom, maturity and institutional knowledge of an elder with the hard charging spirit and activity level of a younger member. And he’s only an EQ2? The time has come to make official what is already true, Seraphol is an upper equite working toward elder.

I got to know Seraphol through the Brotherhood gaming community where he is among the most prolific gamers. I was very lucky as a young BTL to have him join my battleteam, where he proved to be the perfect veteran and leader from within the ranks. His passion and enthusiasm for Odan-Urr is as contagious as it is undeniable. He possesses the somewhat unique ability to rally both the crustiest of veterans and the most driven younger members. This ability proved invaluable because Odan-Urr had some cultural tension at the time between the veterans and the newer generation. Seraphol became the bridge between old and new, while providing mentorship to a certain fiery young BTL. Even now, I still seek out his perspective and counsel for major decisions.

Seraphol stands among the Brotherhood’s champions and elder statesmen. I’m proud to count him among my friends and mentors. Congrats on EQ3 old man!

It has been a long, long time since Seraphol's last promotion. Almost nine years in fact. That is a very long time, and i should know. I was in his shoes not too long ago. I won' beat around the bush, Seraphol's activity has been impressive. He has held several positions in this time, most recently that of Battleteam Leader for Knights of Allusis - which I have observed with much interest as it was once my position to hold - and Recruitment staff. He has held these positions for five months and eight months respectively.

Among the multitude of his awards you can find four Anteian Crosses, a Steel Cross, two Grand Crosses, three Dark Crosses, two Scrolls of the master, a Scroll of indoctrination two Seals of Loyalty, six Scrolls of Foundation, and three Legions of the Scholar. His many vendetta competition awards, not including Seals for the most recent GJW, include a Bronze Nova in RoS Second Darkness, six Seals of the Crusader, one Seal of Decimation, one Seal of Return, four Seals of Defiance, one Seal of Bone, two Seals of Unity, eleven Seals of Remembrance, one Seal of Pain, three Seals of Darkness and three Seals of Duplicity.

Other awards include one Cluster of ice, five Crescents with Emerald Star, eight Crescents with Quartz Star, two Crescents with Topaz Star, three Crescents with Sapphire Star, and a Crescent with Ruby Star. Worth mentioning are the 2737 Clusters of Fire he accumulated and eleven Pendants of Blood. But Seraphol's achievements don't stop there. After all he has organized and co-organized five competitions, participated in eleven, and participated in six events in the last GJW, and has won a Gold Nova in one of the events.

I'd like to make a personal note here as well. Seraphol is living and breathing House Odan-Urr. He has been by far the most active leader in the House e-mail group during the Great Jedi War. Constantly supporting the membership and helping them participate in events with words of encouragement. I think Seraphol's promotion is way, way overdue and I think everyone else should think that as well. I would like to thank him for his service to the House, and I would like to congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion. Brother, congratulations. It's past time your achievements are recognized.

Boss Morgan B. Sorenn, 2015-04-06 04:40:11 UTC

Since his last promotion on June 10, 2006, Seraphol has lead a strong career bursting at the seams with activity. He has been a stalwart combatant in several major competitions, has been a vocal and active supporter of our House since his arrival in March 2014. He has also been an active member of the Recruitment Tribune’s staff since July 4, 2014, though I myself am not privy to what he himself has done for the Tribune.

As part of our leadership team, he is the Battleteam Leader of the Knights of Allusis, and has been for five months (since 15 September 2015). During this time, he has been in near constant communication with the Summit group, the House googlegroup, and individually with his team, encouraging and supporting everyone and doing his best to drive activity and prove that the Knights remain “First to Defend, Last to Fall”. Under his leadership, nine out of ten members of his team participated in the eleventh Great Jedi War, and six members of his team participated in the third round of the Fading Light Vendetta.

He has organized 4 competitions himself, including a Corellian Campaign setting, and took on the reigns as a last minute co-organizer of the Affliction major House event when the original event planner was unexpectedly appointed to the Grand Master’s staff. In Affliction, he and Liam both took on the role of judges and administrators for the entire event.

In the Fading Light Vendetta, he participated in four of five events, and in the eleventh Great Jedi War he participated in seven of eleven events, placing ninth in Round 2 Gaming and helping his team secure first place in the Battleplan team event.

Going back further, he has a long history of participating in major events, earning the following Vendetta Seals: 6 of the Crusader (Dark Crusade and Fading Light), one of Decimation (GJW X), one of the Return (2011 Independence Games), 4 of Defiance (Rite of Supremacy: Disorder), 1 of Bone (Rite of Supremacy: Spoils of War), 2 of Unity (GJW 9), 11 of Remembrance (2008 Independence Games), 1 of Pain (GJW 8), 3 of Darkness (Rite of Supremacy: Second Darkness, earning a Bronze Nova) and 3 of Duplicity (GJW 6).

For his efforts so far, he has been awarded two Grand Crosses, a Steel Cross, four Anteian Crosses, three Dark Crosses, and two Seals of Loyalty. He has also earnt 2 Scrolls of the Master for mentoring members to Knight status, and collected an impressive tally of 19 Crescents (1 Ruby, 3 Sapphire, 5 Emerald, 2 Topaz and 8 Quartz), eleven Pendants of Blood and 2,737 Clusters of Fire. He has earnt 3 Legions of the Scholar, a Cluster of Ice, 6 Scrolls of Foundation, and a Scroll of Indoctrination.

With such an impressive career as a second-level Equite, I wish to endorse Seraphol’s promotion to the third Equite rank, and offer you my sincerest gratitude for being awesome. Congratulations, Seraphol.
