Primary reason

Even from her first moments here in Scholae Palatinae, it was clear Calindra was going to have no issues finding her footing in the club. Her love of Star Wars, the community of the club, and passion to create has continued on strongly since her promotion to Knighthood. And today, I am glad to have the opportunity to recommend her advancement into the Equite ranks.

As a member, she has participated in nine competitions ranging from a house feud, major clan event, to a DJB wide ACC battle royale. She has pulled in a Ruby Cross, an Antenian Cross, 7 Clusters of Fire, 21 Clusters of Ice, 14 Clusters of Earth.

But her talents go beyond mere medal earning. She helped push and lead our recent clan run-on for Monstrosity. She gave a lot of feedback to her fellow clan members. She has spent a lot of time working both as an ACB representative, and as an ACC Judge. When Wally had asked for people in each clan who might have been interested in helping with the ACB, Calindra was the first person I thought of for it. As you can see in Wally’s recommendation, she has been absolutely slaying both of those positions.

Calindra is a hardworking, honest, and thoughtful member who has clearly shown an eye for the brotherhood at large. She is very much ready to advance to the Equite ranks. Stand proud Calindra, and congratulations. Drinks are on you!

Additional reasons

Calindra Hejaran is a calm and collective face that I always feel welcome to see participate in our Clan, she becomes a voice of her own, a strong individual and a rising star in her own field. This is what I believe makes a Knight jump to Equite bracket, and I believe Calindra has certainly done so.

Most recently in the Monstrosity campaign, the third act in the Forgotten series, Calindra stuck herself into the competitions, the Runon and the discussions on our telegram channel despite real life and the Combat Master requiring her attention. Since her knighthood, Calindra has participated in 9 total submissions, including full credit for the Temple of the Forgotten Runon. Her most notable of the two crescents (one ruby, one emerald) was a winning submission for Boarding the Zephyr that depicted Calindra infiltrating the wrecked space ship and finding the mysteries inside. The Emerald Crescent was earned for her thrilling action-packed story of holding the fort in The Survivor which was a good insight into how her character deals with combat.

Since reaching the rank of Dark Jedi Knight, Calindra has written over 6,833 words in her fictional submissions..

We in House Imperium are thankful for her bright personality on Telegram, emails and all around positive attitude .

Congratulations, Cali! Drinks are on you!

While her spurt of activity following her ascension to Knighthood started before our meeting, I’ve now had the pleasure of working with Calindra very closely over the course of the past four months. Calindra was first brought to my attention after a somewhat long remand-debate on her first character sheet. Through this, she showed the ability to not only handle an argument logically, but to take feedback and work it into what she was doing. The end result was amiable and a better product result. This was why when Xen nominated her as the CSP representative to the Contract Bureau, I was excited to have her on board.

Calindra is a quick study, and set to learning everything she needed about setting up, emailing, and grading contracts. To date she is the most active staffer we have and has created 6 unique prompts and graded 11 contracts. She takes the time to give specific feedback on each contract she works on, selflessly giving back to other members of the club in a different kind of leadership we don’t track with statistics.

Shortly after joining the CB, Calindra applied for one of the open judge positions on the ACC Staff. She was quick to get her practice-matches graded under my guide, and was brought in after the first week of Rivalries to help handle a whopping 43 matches for the event. To date, Calindra has graded 13 ACC battles herself and graded 5 Qualification Exams. She has also been my second/consultant on a few more matches that she won’t get credit for but was equally vocal in helping me make sure I didn’t miss anything in my verdict. By the ACC judging standards, especially in competitions, we take our time evaluating matches, and the time commitment is comparable to running and grading an active fiction competition.

She is also active daily in the ACC telegram group and has input on nearly every revision or conversation involving Force Powers, Skills, or Character Sheet mechanics as well as the latest version of the ACC Rubric. Anytime there is a question about how a power works or would be treated, she weighs in. When we were going over the Poison weapons policy, she was the first person to go in and have a comment on everything. She offers spot-proof checks on my reports for grammar, and does the same for documents that are created.

Calindra was also awarded an Anteian Cross for her efforts not just as a judge, but also with helping me execute a much needed revamp of the ACC Qualification Exam. She also helped me write the staged battle between the two new NPCs (Krin and Harry) that now serve as the basis for the brand new ACC Combat Studies course.

Calindra is the hardest working member I’ve met that doesn’t hold an actual leadership position. It is fun to watch her work because she doesn’t seem to have any regard for reward or merit, only on helping the team. She simply sees something that needs to be done, and set to the task.

This is the behavior I think we should encourage and look for in our Equite members. As such, I am honored to lend my voice of support and to congratulate her on her ascension to the ranks of the Equites.

Cali: I know that December is a crazy month for you, but I just wanted to again thank you for still showing up everyday to work with a smile, positive attitude, and a contagious work ethic. Thank you for all your hard work. Keep it up ;).
