Primary reason

I have had the honor of working with Zakath on and off for the past five years and I can say without hesitation that there are few members more reliable or dependable than him. Over his tenure in the Brotherhood, Zakath has held a number of leadership positions within Arcona. Amassing a total of fifteen months in various leadership roles from Battleteam Leader to Rollmaster and Quaestor, he never fails to leap into any situation where he can help. For the past few years he has been a pillar of activity within Galeres, participating in 114 competitions and organizing two dozen of his own. In that time, he has earned thirty Crescents, ten Pendants of Blood and over 2600 Clusters. Everyone knows how common it is for Equites to become burned out, to step back from day-to-day activity, resting instead on their laurels from the past or waiting for the next big thing to arrive and push them to be active. Zakath’s drive has never wavered. Few members can compare with his constancy, and that as much as anything is testament to his worthiness for elevation.

In addition to his participation, Zakath has been a steady presence on Telegram, consistently available to help members with questions or issues that arise, or volunteering to act as a soundboard for suggestions. He assisted in the fictional growth of House Galeres, played a vital role in developing the Nighthawk and it’s fictional crew, and has recently moved over to House Qel-Droma where has has been a driving force for change and advancement within Battleteam Styx. Given the unenviable task of trying to revitalize a flagging and stagnant team, Zakath has charged forward unwaveringly, pushing his members to compete and grow. We’re lucky to have him on the Qel-Droman Summit, and I couldn’t be happier to be working with him again.

Others will speak further about his time in Galeres or his previous stints in leadership, but I’d like to take a moment to call out something which is rarer than it should be - just how nice and genuine of a human being our Barabel buddy is. He’s always positive, consistently upbeat, no matter what is going on in his life. It doesn’t matter if he’s sick, injured or working 80 hours in a week - Zakath is not just available to his fellow Arconans, but happily so. We are, all of us, better for his constant presence and support. I can’t imagine Arcona without him and that, perhaps, says everything.

Congratulations, Zakath, our newest Seer. Keep rocking those scales!

Additional reasons

Zakath is one of those few members that shines in every task set before him. Whether it be writing a fiction, developing a battleteam or gaming, Zakath pours every ounce of his heart and soul into every single thing he does. Though I’ve known him practically since the day I joined the Brotherhood, I have only had the pleasure of working with him over the past few months in his time as Battleteam Sergeant of Styx.

In this time, I’ve seen his personal activity grow whilst he maintained a highly active Telegram presence, happy to lend a hand to any and all members that approached him. It truly is a pleasure to watch him perform and continue to evolve beyond what we expect. As Sergeant of Battleteam Styx, Zakath has been the driving force on both developing and running the team, though mostly from the administrative side.

It’s been a long time coming and I’m happy to be throwing my voice behind Zakath for Equite III. Congratulations, mate!

Celevon Edraven Erinos
Quaestor, House Qel-Droma

Zakath, or Ninj, is a gem of a member. His story is one of triumph, rising over months of dedication to better himself and those around, and now at last it reaches a crescendo. His performance since his return — and I dare say rebirth — has been nothing sorry of extraordinary, not only on the volume of his activity but in the capacity of his spirit. Zakath does not merely compete, but drives others with his example, engaging in nearly every event available to him, even his own, to promote them amongst his peers. He is tireless in engaging others over their ideas and wishes for activity, for discussing character development, and for their opinions on the Brotherhood at large, pushing them to surpass the limits of their own expectations by competing, practicing, or applying to positions.

It is this constant encouragement, this way in which he strives to use his own successes to guide others, all while continuing to humbly improve upon himself, that is the hallmark of any high ranking Equite. We ask not for personal endeavor alone, but for inspiration, dedication, service, and execution. In all these ways, Zakath fulfills his purpose each day, acting as an upstanding clansman and leader both now and over the course of his good career. I would be hard pressed to present you with a more worthy candidate.

Congratulations, Dan. Let this be your reminder of your worth and your excellence. You've earned it.

Atyiru Caesura Entar
Consul of Clan Arcona

Master Ruka Tenbriss Ya-ir, 2016-01-10 04:57:43 UTC

I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Zakath both when he was a Quaestor and, later, as his Quaestor. When I did my initial review of our Summit - as Dash’s Proconsul - the highest marks I awarded were to the upstart leader known as Ninj. Now, many years later, I am honored to say he has worked and grown beyond a masterful administrator to an elite producer (and consumer) of content within the Brotherhood and Arcona.

He transcended rote administrative work and became the lynchpin for Character Development prompts within the Clan. He coordinates, communicates, and works with others to ensure that there is a plethora of topics for members to write about and explore their characters. While he may not grade all of the competitions, he oversees Strands of Fate, First Encounters, Origins, and many one-off Character Development topics. He is also instrumental in preparing our future with Character Development; diligently polling members and gaining their insight on what they would like to see more of and what will keep them involved. His involvement does not stop here; however, I will let others praise his many contributions.

Simply said, Ninj was a phenomenal House Leader during my tenure as Proconsul. And his recent emergence has been breathtaking, uplifting, and a true role model of what it means to be an Equite. I’m honored to see his hard work pay off.

Zakath, or Ninj as he's more commonly known, is a rock. While running Nighthawk he was one of my most solid members, a voice of reason among the lunatics that made up our team. Not that I didn't love my crazies, just that Zakath made it far easier to manage. With competitions focusing on character development and engaging with his fellow members, Ninj was a treat to have on the Nighthawk. His friendly attitude on Telegram and willingness to engage with anyone was a major bonus, and helped make the Team quite possibly the most active subunit in Arcona. Friends encourage other friends to do stuff in this club, and Zakath does that incredibly well.

Mate, this promotion has been a long time coming, you worked hard and have done amazing work. I couldn't be more proud of working with you and learning from you as I did. It's been an honor and a privilege, you glorious giant lizard man.

Rollmaster, Arcona

Arcona is known for its family atmosphere. We are proud to see each other rise and always willing to help one another when we stumble. Zakath has and will always remain one of those who will be there to take the hand of any member or leader who stumbles and help right them. Many have spoken of his behaviors as a member and as a leader. I’ve worked closely with Zakath aboard the Nighthawk and as his Aedile for the last ten months. I choose not to speak of him as just another member but as a friend.

Dan, Ninj or Zakath - however you prefer to refer to him - has been a confidant and advisor to me throughout this last year. And until his recent transfer to Qel-Droma to aid them in the recovery of the Styx Battleteam, I held hope we would one day see him as Battleteam Leader of the Nighthawk. For now, I am even more pleased to see him step out of his comfort zone and offer to help an unfamiliar team in an unfamiliar House. This only goes to show his dedication not only to his former Battleteam, his former House, but the Clan in its entirety.

Through action and words Zakath has proven his right to claim the next rank of Equite and it is an honor to see him ascend.

Congratulations, my friend. Continue to serve as an example for all of us to aspire to.
