Seyda was always meant to be more gray than anything. The Sith are too based in weird religion for her tastes, and her focus isn't so much on good or evil, rather pursuit of knowledge. I still peg her as a dark sider due to the selfishness in her goals, plus the dark side stuff is the attractive part of force lore to her, since it's so hard to get and "forbidden." I just feel it makes more sense for her character, I've never been too fond of polarizing her too much especially considering lack of exposure to Jedi or Sith prior to joining the Brotherhood.
