Primary reason

Since he was last elevated, Kordath has participated in 134 competitions and (co)organized 28 competitions, placing in many in doing so to earn 41 crescents (3 Cr-D, 5 Cr-R, 14 Cr-A, 7 Cr-S, 9 Cr-E, 3 Cr-T). He submitted 26 PvP matches and 118 PvE activities to garner 2153 Clusters of Fire and 312 Clusters of Earth, as well as 6 Pendants of Blood. However, he has also shone outside of gaming, having written 65892 words worth of fiction over 4 ACC battles and 22 fiction activities, with an additional 10710 words in nine Run-On posts alone, all for 147 Clusters of Ice! In addition to this, he has passed 2 Shadow Academy courses and gained 2 Dark Side Degrees, as well as 2 Legions of the Scholar. Kordath has further earned a Scroll of the Master for mentoring Lonewolf to Dark Jedi Knight, and has received several awards for his service. Most prominent of them is his Sapphire Blade award, given to him in demonstration of long hours of dedication, tenacity, and a drive to see his Clan grow and have fun. It acknowledged his astronomical personal activity and his devotion to Arcona's unusually demanding Rollmaster position - a position which had him handling and teaching not only every Novitiate and Journeyman that came along, but also giving input, tutelage, and recommendations to aspiring Equites as they worked to advance themselves beyond what they once thought possible. Previous to said sacramental, Kordath also earned two more merit awards, a Steel Cross for spectacular performance in the Clan event Fall of Scepter and more personal activity, and an Anteian Cross for, you guessed it, high participation and promotion of Arcona's Halloween event and yet more personal activity (seriously, this guy does a lot).

In the last seven months, besides all that personal activity and accolades, he has also served as a leader in Arcona the entire time, first as the Battleteam leader of the Nighthawk for 2 months, then as Rollmaster of the Clan for 5 months. In both positions, he has set the definition for what the role can - and should - complete with a dedicated person at the helm. As both a leader and general member, he creates opportunities for others, provides competitions and ideas, encourages new members to become regular entities, and defies our minds with his personal activity. He is regular in his contact to new members, seeking them out to advance within the ranks of the Novitiates and Journeymen, and helms the Clan’s Master-Student Program for Pre-DJK ranks while assisting diligently and constantly with the advancement of Equites.

Additional reasons

Sometimes, this place is a mess. That's a statement every one of us can relate to, with life in general as well as the atmosphere of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, but in particular it must be applied here, to our club, and here, to Arcona. Arcona is a beast, balanced between constant glory and insanity, one of powerful personalities that constantly clash, and managing it is no small task. Neither is managing it while welcoming and easing in new members of the family, helping guide returning veterans and current stars alike, and completing utterly mindblowing amounts of activity, all at the same time. And, all that, while remembering that the best way to cut through all the messiness is to just bear in mind two important facts: we're all people, and we're all here to have fun. It's a hard job, even sometimes a hard thing as a regular, functioning fan of our dear club, but Kordath Bleu d'Tana does it all. His ability, aptitude, and attitude are second to none I can name, and together they form one of our most fun-encouraging, laugh-getting, grand-performing leaders and members. Even at his lowest points, Kord is the man I'd pick to stand beside me when all the cards are down, because that's just who he is, and it's who he's always been for the Brotherhood and Arcona.

Kord's last seven months have been ones of service, steadiness, and that aforementioned brilliance. Previously one of our most recognized Battleteam leaders, he tackled a Rollmaster position that had been in sore need of someone to truly invigorate it and breathed life into it with his personable manner and constant, active presence. As Uji will tell you, he spent these months contacting and guiding every new member to come across our doorstep, by email or otherwise, bringing many onto Telegram to mingle among their new brothers and sisters. His "Rollmaster Roundups" provided the whole Clan with convenient, centralized updates on competition information from all across the Brotherhood, providing new members and old with easy access to activity that would lend to promoting and involving them. He's vocal in regular chat and in summit discussions, always a voice of temperance as well as encouragement, advocating amidst dramatics for the most important baseline in this club: the members' continued enjoyment. His down-to-earth influence and affable, approachable presence make him a safe harbor for each and every member and leader, from Initiate to Consul, to come to for support and rest, and he does this while competing so much that twenty competition entries in a month's span is "slacking" to him.

I mention his activity repeatedly for its meritoriousness in number and accomplishment, but I hail his behavior, both behind the scenes and up front, most of all for its rarity and worth. Kordath is the kind of person every group needs one of the function well rather than just struggle to survive, a piece of heart and humor, and he shows it in his efforts every day. For that, I thank him, and am happy to be promoting him to Equite III today. Congrats, blueboy.

Generation defining members are rare in our club. There are certainly members that make an impact, leave a small mark on the club… but Kordath will not leave a small or insignificant mark on this club - it will be huge and last for generations after him. And that is why I believe he is ready for advancement to *Equite III.

I have seen members with big motors in our club. Hell, I’ve been a member with a high level of activity in our club… but our resident Ryn puts me to shame. He has participated in over 309 competitions and organized another 42 competitions in his career since the site started tracking it. And it’s infectious to those around him. His activity inspires others in his Battle Team, his House, and his Clan. Some members set their sights on him in an attempt to overtake him (they never do, by the way) and others use him as the role model for the perfect member in Clan Arcona. I am honored to work alongside him. I am honored to call him a partner in Clan Arcona. Without him, we could not have come this far or had the levels of success we have seen in the past seven months.

Thank you, Kordath, for everything you do. A promotion is not award enough, nor praise enough. So we will buy you drinks when you come visit us!

The Rollmaster position in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood is hard to define because every Clan utilizes the position in its own way, and each member that serves brings their own style as well. Arcona’s Rynmaster — Kord — goes beyond the simple definition of “handle the administrative duties involving Journeymen.” Kordath leads, everyday, by example and is one of Arcona’s most active contributors. This is evident by his stellar activity record and supported by the sacramental and merit award(s) he has earned since his last promotion.

Beyond the statistics, Kord sets the example for what an active member should be. And since he is not officially tied to either House, he has the flexibility to interact and engage any member, new or old, regardless of their Housing assignment. Setting a good example early on is important, in my experience, to longer-lasting retention with new members. And when a new member shows up, the Rollmaster should be the model to which they strive. Kord does this by engaging and offering help to anyone who asks for it. Even when doing something as simple as making sure a new member is brought into the appropriate chat groups, Kords diligence has kept Arcona moving forward without concern of stagnation.

I’ve also gotten to see Kordath as one of the most active ACCers in the club (5 matches completed recreationally since his last promotion, and 21 total since the ACC re-opened). He’s encouraged newer members to try out the ACC, and has been integral in being a test-dummy for some of my new judges. He takes these delays to grading on the chin, and always has positive feedback that has helped me gauge development for the ACC.

In short, Kord is the model member: active, friendly, present and above all else, reasonable. Level headed. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen him yell at anyone before. It is endearing. Indeed, Kord sets the bar — without really knowing it or asking for recognition — that gives others cause to follow. This type of leadership doesn’t show up on paper all the time, but is one of the headline reasons I also feel he’s more than earned this promotion on top of his credentials on paper.

Congratulations, Kord. You’re still my boy, Bleu.

Combat Master (Append on behalf of Marick Arconae #10214)

Although Kordath’s time aboard the Nighthawk was short, it was still enough time to motivate, inspire, and teach the others he came into contact with. I would be lying if I said I didn’t learn anything from him. I still aspire to be able to create such humorous fiction as he does, and will always admire his ability to lead regardless of the setting. Once he decided to move on, I realized he had given me enough courage to step up to the BTL spot, and that would not be possible without him. He is an example of the kind of leader I like to see, and would like to be. Congratulations, Bleu!

Rulvak Qurroc Battle Team Leader of Nighthawk

I've known Kordath for several years now - and it would take longer than that to read all the fiction he has written for the Dark Brotherhood in just the last six months. I'm fairly certain he's earned more credits in that time than I have in the last decade and a half. And he's done all this while serving as Rollmaster of the largest and most active club in the Brotherhood. If that's not praiseworthy activity, I don't know what is.

However, Kord's contributions go beyond mere numbers and statistics. He's solid, dependable, a vibrant fount of enthusiasm, energy and charisma that few in the Brotherhood can equal. His activity is infectious, inspiring everyone around him to strive for more, to do and be their best. His offbeat, often-gallows humor brings a smile in the best of times, and he's always quick with a joke in the worst of times as well. He's quick to challenge others to best him in competitions and events, driving members to compete when they might otherwise forgo. In short, he's Kord. There's no one like him, and no one who has earned this more.

Congratulations, Kordath. For everything you do, you've more than earned this.
