Best Aiden (Rhylance) has been an example member of the Voice Staff over his 5 months of service as a Magistrate. During this time, Aiden approved 15 Character Sheets for members of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, a process that involves carefully reading the details of every Character Sheet that gets submitted. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that physical descriptions are written correctly, weapons loadouts are formatted properly, and that custom Aspects are balanced and fit within the infrastructure of the Approval Guidelines. For those that are not on staff, this is not always the easiest of tasks because it often involves using constructive wording and feedback when effectively telling a member "no" or "you did this wrong." It's very easy to deter a new member with the wrong kind of language, but Aiden has approached every Character Sheet that's come his way with poise, patience, and professionalism. This ultimately leads to happier members while also maintaining a consistent standard with approved Character Sheets. The site only tracks approval metrics, however, and also omits the follow up emails and communication that often occurs when helping a member re-word their Aspects or reformatting their weapons into a bullet point list in markdown per the Approval Guidelines. Sometimes, members need to be assisted multiple times, so keeping patient and constructive is something that is important to staff members, and an area where Aiden really shines.
Beyond this, Aiden has been an active voice in discussions that have taken part over the Voice Staff telegram group, where most policies and changes are discussed. He has weighed in on multiple policies that have been updated and helped proof read whatever documents I passed his way. The two most noteworthy ones are the Voice Staff Resources hub (wiki article) and the NFU Disciplines documentation (google documents). Whenever I've asked for feedback, he's always given me it, and carries himself with a collected level of professionalism I think sets the bar for other leaders in the Brotherhood to follow. His assistance helped me easily transition into the Voice position by having someone I trusted keeping an eye on the Character Sheet queue and offering advice and help to new and returning members.
Thank you for all your hard work, Aiden.
