Tisto or Vadin Cal as he goes by now has been a solid member over the last 10 months since his last promotion. 9 of those months he spent as the Battleteam Leader of the Knight of Allusis in which he performed his job to the high standards set forth by both myself and the QUA of House Hoth Arcia Cortel. He was also a very instrumental in helping us create the House’s new world Solyiat. He came up with real science and numbers to make what we were creating somewhat based on science and not just make believe.
Besides that I would be amiss if I didn’t mention Vadin’s very impressive numbers since his last promotion. He has earned 2 Anteian Crosses for his service to House Hoth. As for his activity he created 7 and participated in 74 competitions, which has earned him 5 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 2 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 2 Crescents with Emerald Stars and a Crescents with Topaz Star.
Of course this is not to forget that he has posted 10 News items, passed 3 SA courses and has earned 4 Pendants of Blood, 125 Clusters of Fire, 19 Clusters of Ice (for his 3 ACC battles and 3541 words of fiction), 96 Clusters of Earth and 5 Clusters of Graphite.
I have been very impressed with Vadin’s activity and dedication during his time as the Knight Commander of the Knights of Allusis and I’m very proud to recommend him for his EQ2 promotion.
Congratulations Tisito aka Vadin Cal you earned this!

In Odan-Urr, we know Vadin as Tisto. Tisto has been one of our most visible members, both in his activity and his presence in our Telegram channels, always there to continue a discussion or to offer help where it is needed. This is what we look for in our Equites as they progress through their journey to EQ4, or even Elder. Vadin was most recently the Battleteam leader of Knights of Allusis and did his best to keep his members engaged, valued and ever growing. He knew that his other obligations required him to step down, which is a leadership trait many people do not hold and shows that Tisto cares more for his unit(s) than he does himself: very admirable.
All in all, Tisto has been a force of activity and leadership that has paved the way for this promotion. I only hope to see him rise up once again to take on more and see him grow to even greater heights. He’s been an inspiration to us all and without him, Hoth wouldn’t’ be where it’s at today. His countless hours of advice and theorizing unit lore can never be repaid fully. You’ve done very well, Tisto, and I am proud of you. Keep up the fantastic work into the future. Congratulations on Equite 2.

I have known Vadin Cal, also known as Tisto, since I joined the Brotherhood and Clan Odan-Urr. I feel like most of what I was going to say has been said, but I feel like it should be said again. Tisto has been one of the most consistently active members I have known in my year or so of being in the Brotherhood. He is always in a competition of some sort, whether it is gaming, fiction, a run-on, or an ACC match (I think he challenged every member of the ACC that was on my roster at one point).
During his tenure as a Battle Team Leader, Tisto and I worked on several projects to strengthen inter-House and inter-Battle Team relations, including the idea mentioned by Corvus. We worked together on a couple of run-ons (The Last Voyage of the Charon being the most recent), and game together on a regular basis. Tisto is very active on the Clan Telegram channel chatting with other members and motivating some of the new members.
It is my honor to recommend Vadin Cal aka Tisto for promotion to Equite 2. Well done my friend!

Tisto, as I knew him as during my tenure, was consistent in delivering to his clan through activity and a willingness to learn the inner workings of our summit. Most of his non-usual duties as Knight Commander came through in his devotion towards the development of Hoth’s world, Solyiat, working alongside Arcia Cortel. He has always been a member’s member - someone that does his best to sate everyone’s needs and expectations whenever he is able to do so.
Without further adieu, congratulations, Vadin Cole!

Tisto is, beyond a doubt, one of our most committed and enthusiastic members. One of his most commendable features is his near-constant presence on Telegram – and even more admirable is the fact that a lot of that time is spent encouraging others or improving his own skills and knowledge.
He is also one of our more rounded members – participating with success in both gaming and writing, gathering a vast hoard of awards. He regularly pushes himself in his writing, participating in most competitions, run-ons, and most recently the ACC tournament. His new character, Vadin Cal, is a fresh new idea. One notable anecdote is Vadin / Tisto’s idea of a COU BT event, in which all of Odan-Urr’s BTs have a co-op event. He was a driving force for this idea, in both planning the plot and discussing with the other BTLs. The event is yet to pass, because of a busy event schedule, among other things, but I believe this shows Vadin’s drive to improve himself and those around him, engaging other members in interesting and innovative events.
Beyond this, he is one of Odan-Urr’s most consistently active members, and due to an impressive tenure as Battle-team Leader, as well as a brilliant mindset, I believe he has deserved his promotion to EQ2. Congratulations!

Valdin Cal or Tisto as I’ve known him has more unbridled enthusiasm for the DB and our community than almost anyone else I have known in the club. He dives headfirst into all forms of activity and aspects of leadership. I have always expected my subordinate leaders to lead by example in their personal activity and Tisto never let me down. He was very much a frontline leader, down in the trenches with his guys.
Tisto is also just as enthusiastic about improving himself and learning all he can. He constantly sought advice from his peers on the summit and strove to implement that to better serve his members. Others have covered his specific accomplishments in detail but I would like to add that he has the spirit of a champion and will continue to rise and do great things in the club. Congrats on EQ2, you’ve made all the Knight-Commanders proud!
