Primary reason

I'm honored to be writing this recommendation for Warrior DarkHawk. He has been a very active member and a good Battleteam Leader. In the time since his last promotion, DarkHawk has participated in 44 competitions, including seven during the feud with CSP. He has also co-organized two competitions, including The Void Runon. This was a cooperative effort between Darkhawk and Riku, and together they authored 3332 words of fiction supporting it. The two went on to judge 9700 words of fiction produced by the participants.

In his own activity, DarkHawk has done his own fair share of writing. He has written 19,619 words of fiction outside of Runons since his last recognition. In addition to that nearly 20,000 words, he has also written an additional 5496 in Runons, for as grand total of 25,115! He has also earned a solid number of Crescents, including one Topaz, two Emerald, two Sapphire, two Amethyst, and even one Ruby and one Diamond. He has also earned 423 Clusters of Fire, 65 of ice, and 37 of Earth, showing that he participates in a diverse amount of activities.

DarkHawk has also been a part of the planning of HMR fiction, as evidenced by Muz's supporting recommendation. Together, he's worked with Muz and Riku to help guide the House and provide a more fun environment for our members.

DarkHawk has been a member for a long time now, and he continues to get better and better. His activity is solid, and he really values the happiness of his members. Those are two qualities that I really appreciate in a member and Battleteam Leader, and I'm happy to be writing this recommendation for DarkHawk.

Congratulations, Battlemaster DarkHawk!

Additional reasons

DarkHawk has spent a long time as Warrior, mostly because he spent several years serving his country and thus unable to spend as much time as he would've liked being active in the Brotherhood. Since returning to full activity, DarkHawk has been indefatigable. He is always eager to help out and has assisted in running events with his House Summit. He has led his Battleteam quite adeptly and under his stewardship, they've grown in size and activity. Houses often go through a cycle of activity and inactivity, with each House in a Clan taking it in turns to be the dominant one in terms of activity. For a long time, Shar Dakhan led the way, but Marka Ragnos has been fighting back and this has been in part thanks to DarkHawk alongside others such as Muz and Riku.

Their and his (DarkHawk's) hard work has paid off and I'm proud to see DarkHawk finally reach the rank of Battlemaster. He has wanted this for such a long time and I'm glad he's gotten it.

Congratulations, DH!

Darkhawk has been an active member of the House. As advised by Muz his activity has been one of the highest, even when he's sick and in the hospital. Utilizing his skills to learn and teach as he goes to ensure the Night Hawks operate as best they can. His skills came to light recently as he organized a team for the Rogue One Run On and kept them going throughout the entirety of the event.

During the RO Run On he did a third of all posts, 4/15, totalling up to about 2980 words across the event. This in itself is a great achievement and he should be proud of this accomplishment, win or not!

He worked alongside me to help write and create the Void run on. Though the turnout wasn't as big as we both hoped he stayed diligent and when my own life took over he stepped up to mark and score the event by himself. As well as helped to motivate all those taking part to get involved. Together we probably spent the best part of a day (spread across the time period) discussing, debating, writing fiction and doing the actual marking for the event. He pout a ton of work into this and was proud of his achievement and work!

That is DH though. Gets his oar stuck in and gets things done. Always willing to help here and there. I know at times he struggles but we all do, it's how we grow.

It's good to see him develop and hopefully get to see more from him in the future.

Since stepping up to the plate as battleteam leader, DarkHawk has done everything within his power to drive activity. His constant presence and availability is a boon to new and returning members alike. His own personal activity is intense as well, taking seriously the 'lead by doing doctrine'. Since his September hiring date, he has participated in 18 competitions (about one a week, on average) placing in three of them, all while encouraging others in his Night Hawks to take part themselves. Sometimes, he does things just to do them, and then we have to find a place for them to go and get submitted so that he can get credit for them. That is a heck of a problem to have. In addition, his reporting has been consistent, and has worked quite closely with Riku and I on maintaining a quality and unified front for leadership and fictional development of the House, having been integral in the planning and execution of the Seige of Heaven event.

Something else is that I am constantly being asked for more to do from the man. He has a deep drive to do more, to give back to this club that has meant so much to him in harder times of his life. I can completely understand and appreciate that desire, and I am humbled when I see it on display as I do with DarkHawk. This may be his first leadership role within the club, but I doubt it will be the last. I consider it an honor to request a promotion to Battlemaster for DarkHawk. For all that you have done so far, thank you, DarkHawk. Enjoy the promotion. You've earned it. ~Muz Ashen, the Lion of Tarthos.
