The cast of SNL used to call Phil Hartman "the glue" because of his ability to hold both the cast and individual sketches together. That's basically how I view Takota/Seraphol. He goes where he's needed, he does what needs doing, and then he moves along when someone else is ready to step up. Since his last recognition, that service has involved two months as Satele Shan's AED and 38 days as the BTL of the Knights of Allusis and their successor unit, the Wildcards. Both as a leader and as a regular member, he's organized 12 competitions and co-organized another. He recently received a Scroll of the Master for mentoring his friend Ethan Martes to the rank of Jedi Knight.
That said, in COU we try to embody the lead from the front principle, and hold that leadership is not limited to a position. Sera has been an inspiration to younger members (which is all of them) through his consistent activity across a broad range of platforms. He has participated in 81 competitions, plus an additional 12 container comps. He has taken home 24 crescents, including 1 with a ruby star. 8 of these competitions and 2 of the crescents were from participation in the recent COU/TAL event. As you would expect of a long-term PROF, Seraphol has passed 6 courses and earned himself 2 degrees. He has also earned 99 Clusters of Fire and a whopping 535 Clusters of Earth. Beyond gaming, Sera's also earned 3 Clusters of Ice and 3 of Graphite. Lastly, he's taken home 2 Legions of the Scholar.
Sera, thanks for everything you do. Never change, you old coot.
