Tahiri Thorn Morte Tarentae, better known as simply Tahiri, is a long-standing member of Clan Plagueis and a valued member of the Plagueian family. One of the most positive members we’ve ever seen in my time in the Brotherhood, Tahiri is more than a pleasant person. Tahiri is an active participant while continuing to be a positive example of what a leader should be.
Tahiri is, to us, everything a Rollmaster should be. Experienced, willing and able to lead by example, approachable yet proactive and possesses an ability to rather clearly and concisely explain key areas of the brotherhood to new members who haven’t built up the knowledge of all the shorthand terms used commonly within the club. This is a skillset Tahiri has repeatedly showcased throughout her 3 months as Aedile and 8 months as a Quaestor within Plagueis and when the clan went through a restructuring in late 2019, it was the obvious choice to place Tahiri into the Rollmaster position.
Tahiri has continued to repay the faith placed in her when that decision was made and takes her responsibilities incredibly seriously, regularly proving to be an invaluable member of the Plagueian summit. Tahiri regularly provides administrative assistance to the clan summit in terms of tracking outreach to members during events as well as providing a solid foundation on which the more detailed analysis of the clan’s performance can take place. Additionally, Tahiri has recruited and mentored a promising member of the clan in Livia Mariquita Daffel, who continues to impress the summit and Tahiri is thriving with this responsibility. Tahiri has also been recognised for her contributions with 2 Seals of Loyalty, one in each of the past two years.
Tahiri doesn’t just have an impact on Plagueis though, Tahiri has held numerous positions with a mandate that affects the entire club. I will let those with greater in-depth knowledge of her actions within those roles explain Tahiri’s contributions to the larger community. But it is of note that she has served as an Appeals Panelist as well as currently approaching the 18 month mark as an ACC Judge. This service covers multiple Combat Masters from a variety of backgrounds and that they’ve all seen the value in keeping Tahiri on their staff is a ringing endorsement of her capabilities in the role.
Tahiri isn’t just someone who holds positions though, as important as that work is. Tahiri also takes the time to be one of the most active members of Plagueis and has managed to do so for an extended period of time. In the just over 2 years since her last promotion, Tahiri has participated in 429 competitions and earned 107 competition awards for her efforts, that’s on average an award every 4 competitions entered, which is a remarkable level of consistency. Those competitions include 28 competitions across club wide events, awarding 13 Seals of Discord and 15 Seals of Visions and additionally resulted in 2 Gold Novae.
Tahiri is a member that does it all, she games, picking up 55 Clusters of Fire and 56 Clusters of Earth,Tahiri also writes, having written over 11,000 words excluding words written in Run Ons,which account for almost 4,000 words and ACC matches, all of which contribute to Tahiri’s total of 44 Clusters of Ice since her last promotion. Not one to stop there, her artistic efforts have earned a total of 66 Cluster of Graphite. There’s still more as Tahiri has continued her interest in the Shadow Academy, passing 11 courses and picking up 2 degrees in addition to grading 8 exams. Her service to the Shadow Academy has earned her 8 Scrolls of Foundation.
It is the clan summit’s absolute delight to recommend Tahiri’s long overdue promotion to EQ4. She is a member to look up to and applaud, and we are proud to have her in our clan and in the club.
