Qormus Aquila is simultaneously both a bit of a crusty old veteran and newer member in Plagueis it seems, having returned last year around the last Great Jedi War after a period of inactivity. Since that return, however, Qormus has proven himself more than worthy of advancement to the ranks of Equite 1. In the time since his last promotion, he has entered 57 competitions of various types, earning placement crescents in six of them. He was especially active in the recent PLA/COU feud, entering half of the events offered.. His fiction activity has generated 1,629 words of fiction earning him 3 Clusters of Ice. He has earned 28 Clusters of Earth and a Pendant of Blood for his gaming and 3 Clusters of Graphite for his recent graphics work. His work in the Shadow Academy saw him pass 45 courses and 10 degrees while grading 23 courses and earning 14 Scrolls of Foundation for his service as Magistrate (which will be discussed in more detail by Dacien, the Headmaster he served). His overall contributions to the brotherhood have previously been recognized twice in the form of one each of the Steel and Anteian Crosses.

The Brotherhood would be far less successful without the re-engagement of former members returning to the fold, and Qormus is a perfect example of that holding true. He is one who has persevered and returned to offer his service and activity. Congratulations, Qormus, and welcome to the ranks of the Equites.

Since his return to Plagueis, Qormus has been in top form, organizing multiple competitions and harboring an interest in returning to leadership. He has shown activity in both the latest GJW and the latest feud with Odan-Urr, and I am honored to have worked with him as a member while I was still Consul.

Qormus spent approximately nine months as an M:HM, during which time he pitched in to help grading as needed and aided in revising several courses, most notably the new Order CORE courses that launched with the Path/Order system. In addition, he advised on structural changes to the SA, including an overall reduction in professor headcount, which was ultimately implemented after his departure. All of this happened years ago, and this promotion is overdue. Congrats, Qormus!
