Nora Olen, submitter of competitions, earner of crescents, cutter of wires. Nora has amassed a, frankly, insane level of activity over the last not even four months since her advancement to the rank of Equite 3. She's done what, at times, feels like the work of three members as opposed to the one that she is. Both in general activity as well as giving back to the Brotherhood via various leadership posts Nora has demonstrated a level of excellence rarely seen in the history of the Brotherhood.
First, the numbers. Since her last promotion she has submitted to 166 competitions, including full participation in our Clan event Ascending Confederacy and our Clan Feud against Taldryan, finishing as the top overall point earner in Clan Plagueis for both of those events. She has brought home 99 competitions awards, placing with 60% of her competition entries, in the form of a Silver Nova and the following crescents: 4 Diamond, 25 Ruby, 26 Amethyst, 27 Sapphire, 10 Emerald, and 6 Topaz. She earned a Scroll of the Master for mentoring another member to JM4, working to protect the future of the Brotherhood. Activity clusters? She's got those, too, in the form of 24 Clusters of Fire, 39 Clusters of ice, 475 Clusters of Earth, and 92 Clusters of Graphite. She basically consumed the entire Shadow Academy since her last promotion, completing 49 courses on her way to gaining 13 Degrees like it ain't no thang. Oh, and she's been trying to keep Xen in business on the way to completing 7 ACC matches as well. To put it in Howie-terms, she did all the things.
She has also served as an excellent Quaestor over that time as well. She lead her House to a 75% participation ratio (9/12) during Ascending Confederacy and followed it up with an 76% ratio (10/13) during our Clan Feud. Between the two events, House Ventress generated 179 total entries across 34 total competitions while averaging 13.77 entries per member. This level of outstanding participation and engagement does not happen without an involved Quaestor that is keeping in constant contact with their members. That Nora was able to do this while still maintaining a high level of personal activity speaks to how much dedication she brings to her tasks. She has also published her monthly reports on time as needed, only missing one when it fell during a major Clan event when our summit is instructed to focus on personalized, one on one outreach. Never mind the fact that she has also spent much of that time serving as Magistrate to both the Fist and Headmaster. As the latter of those two alluded to recently, having Nora on staff is basically cheating.
Nora has done everything asked of her while going above and beyond in such a way to redefine what going above and beyond actually looks like. I have zero doubt that this will be the final stop on her rise, as EQ4 often becomes for so many others. The quality and sheer quantity of work she has done so far simply proves that this is just one more step upon her assault on the DB promotion ladder. Great work, Nora!
