It is with great honor that I submit this recommendation for the elevation of my Master, Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, to the esteemed rank of Elder II. Over the years, Professor Entar has exemplified unparalleled leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the Brotherhood. His vast contributions—spanning both academic and martial pursuits—have profoundly shaped the future of our Order. A beacon of knowledge, he has mentored countless students, fostering a legacy of excellence that will endure for generations
I mentioned to Sang some time ago during a conversation we had regarding promotions. I said I was going to add .gifs and all sorts to his recc. Figured I would just throw a bunch of big words together and make him sound pretty bougie. Seriously, all joking aside, for me, I am without a doubt honored to be a part of this. Not just for the simple fact an apprentice gets in on the promotion of his master. More importantly, a Son of Sadow, a friend and a mentor is being recognized with an ascension in rank.
Since his last promotion, Sanguinius has been steadfast in his journey and reached yet another milestone to add to his Brotherhood career. He continues to keep his competitive prowess sharp by participating in three hundred and ninety two competitions. Maintaining his thirst for education, Sanguinius earned himself his Master of Lore degree on top of the five hundred and thirty eight courses he graded.
The Professor has also garnered himself an Amethyst Kukri and three Sapphire Blades. Not stopping with just sacramental awards, he has also earned himself a Dark Cross, a Silver and Bronze Nova and a hundred and forty nine Crescents. Over twenty three hundred Clusters found their way to his trophy case. A hundred and sixty five Scrolls of Foundations to fill the shelves in his vast private library. One of the centerpieces to his accolades is the Scroll of the Master, followed by thirty two Seals to display.
It is not just the things he has done, this man has had a footprint around the Club for some time now. Always pushing for the betterment of the Club and mentoring our members. Sang at one time or another has helmed a variety of stations throughout the Club. Taking on Clan level leadership roles all the way up to Consul. Outside the Clan, Sang's name is embedded into the halls of the Shadow Academy. His years as a SA Professor and Magistrate for the HM and the Regent has helped produce some amazing resources for Club members . His influence is not just encapsulated at the SA, Sang’s loyalty and reputation led him to advising the Grand Master as a member of the Star Chamber.
Master Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, it is with great honor to say this to you. You have reached a milestone my friend and are worthy of this promotion to the rank of Elder II! Congratulations Sir!!!!!!!!!

Although Sang is not currently on the SA staff, he has the distinction of being its longest serving member with more than twelve years of continuous service as a professor or magistrate. His dedication to this club and his clan are clear, and I am very happy to add this recommendation for his promotion to Elder 2. Congratulations, Sang!

At the beginning of last year, Bubba and I decided to award Sang the Master of Lore degree. It's not a particularly lucrative award--he's not going to be buying a corvette with it. But that degree is traditionally given to outgoing Headmasters and only to Headmasters. Sang is the first and only person to receive it without Council service.
As Bubba mentioned, that's partly because of his exceptionally long service in the SA. Ood is really the only other member who comes close. Sang was, among various other positions, the only Professor of Lore we had; he took that job when the Department of Lore opened and held it until the position was cut. But as Howie is quick to point out, parking your butt in a job is not even remotely the same thing as doing the job.
So let's talk job performance. Sang graded 2920 SA exams. That is a lot, far more than anybody else except dbb0t. I've done 568. Bubba's done 360. Ciara, Seraphol, Farrin, and Solari have all done between 576 and 433, bringing our collective total to 2927 exams. So not only has Sang done almost exactly as much grading as every HM of the last decade combined, but it's important to remember that most of the HMs cheated. Most of us, if not all, have done dozens or hundreds of "exams" that were actually vendetta trivia comp entries. In terms of real SA exams, Sang easily outperforms Team HM when it comes to grading. And his average turnaround time for that grading is faster than most profs, docents, and HM staff have managed. He is undoubtedly the SA's MVP for keeping things running. And that really seems like the sort of person who should be an EL2.
Thanks, Sang, on behalf of all the HMs you've worked with.

Nothing that I have written (and deleted) over the past few hours seems to do Sanguinius the appropriate level of justice. His work has been a steady metronome as so much other chaos has happened around him. He is a steady guiding hand, a listening ear, a calming presence, a wise professor, and an ever-present friend. And now for his years of effort, the professor shall officially bear a title that so many other members have called him in the past: Master.
Thank you, Sanguinius.
