Primary reason

It's hard to believe that Jovian, more affectionately Drewy, has already reached the benchmark to be promoted to Journeyman 4, though, knowing his participation history, how much he has stepped up to take part within Odan-Urr, and how he's taken the initiative to become the current Master of the Templar Jensaarai, there's little to be shocked about. Hardly a day goes by now where Drewy doesn't reach out to me and ask about a new story concoction, a plot hook for his Battle Team, or some over-arching fiction series he'd like to pitch for them, or for the Brotherhood at large (such as his Resonance of Terror series).

Every day this glorious gentleman has taken steps toward the greater aspects of leadership, starting to understand how we operate, what we expect, competition and lore building, and focusing endeavors based on the root of your unit. The decision to take someone still fresh in their Journeyman stages had been a gamble for us, but, from personal experience, I knew Drewy to be a good writer and someone who would listen to any concerns raised, and he's delivering for all expectations. While there are still many fine administrative skills he has yet to master, these are but momentary lessons on the way to a much greater career.

Outside of his role in Odanite Leadership, Drewy has been a warm and bubbly member of the Clan, always popping up with a bit of laughter and something fun to chatter about. Whether it be to break some point of tension in Summit Chat (usually when we're planning something serious or after a discussion about life in general) or popping up in our general chats to brighten everyone's days. His eclectic character brings a bit of fun to our stories and roleplays, consistently treading the line between instilling some horror, angst, or innuendo. Drewy's future in The Brotherhood is one I'll be keeping a close eye on, no matter where it takes him, both as a good friend and out of a desire to see that he follows his desire to increase his own writing skills and help bring others to writing more.

Ever onwards, Drewy.

Additional reasons

We’re gonna start this off with the boring stuff first. Since his last promotion, Jovian has amassed the 3600 XP required to reach the rank of Journeyman 4 at last. He has co-organized The Resonance of Terror competition series, which at this moment is in the final stage. He has participated in 16 competitions which have netted him six crescents, 1 Ruby, 2 Amethyst, 2 Sapphire and 1 Quartz. He has received 12 clusters of ice for his writing, earned his first Steel Cross, and passed a whole slew of exams in the Academy which he also received two degrees for. A few other details are five society rank ups, 2 ACS and 3 INQ, and served as the Battleteam leader for Templar Jensaarai in House Sunrider for the last three months.

What isn’t there is that Jovian, or Drewy, is always one of those members who has more than enough time if you want to talk. Even when he’s overworked in the real world, he still tries to find the time to talk to people. Tries to find the time to get something done. This is not a member that is content to just sit on what he’s done in the past but someone with an appetite for learning that is very impressive. It’s my honor to know him and has been my honor to help him along his path. I know that my life, for one, in enriched by knowing this beautiful soul, being able to consider him a friend and to have helped him in any way to reach his goals. I look forward to helping him reach many, many more of them. Drewy, you have more than earned this and I look forward to writing the next one as well.
