Primary reason

The Justicar pushed himself back from his drawing board. A collection of DB:CCG cards were arranged upon it. Noticing your presence, he pushes back his magnifying glasses and puts down his brush. "Oh, hello there. I didn't notice you come in. As you can see, I'm quite busy with my little hobby. Oh? What's that? You're not here to talk about cards? Well, that's quite aright," Kamjin's face fell as he spun his swivel chair around to face you.

"So, you want to talk about my Hand? Oh, yes, my Right Hand. Korvis. He's quite a fellow," Kamjin said, nodding his head as older people tend to do as if they're agreeing with themselves and everything they say. "Yes, I am quite pleased that he is the first person I've gotten to personally elevate to Master. Huh? What's that? Elder two? That's something for you youngins. It was Master when I was an Apprentice and it'll be Master when I'm cold in the ground. Okay, okay, settle down...Elder two it is," Kamjin smacked his lips noisily, moistening his tongue to go on.

"Where was I? Oh yes, when I first met Korvis he immediately impressed me. He was busy over with those Mandalorians. He was busy earning credits left and right. Fact, he may have earned a bit to many credits if you ask me. Course, you ask him and he needs some three-fifty for a Corvette or something. He led them on oh so many Great Hutts. What? No, I said hunts. Maybe you need your ears checked sonny. As I was saying," Kamjin wiggled a finger in his old hairy ear for good measure.

"Yes, as I was saying. He was busy running the Great Hunts and then the ProBowls. Quite a feat if you ask me. When you're a Consul you have to generate ideas for the competitions, align to the theme, get everything past the Bear. Shut-up, he absolutely is a bear. That's propanda they've been feeding you. What? No, I said propaganda. Now then, running a competition like ProBowl takes a lot of effort and Korvis did it with ease. Reviewing submissions, coordinating with his peers, and delivering results. To me, this is one of the two greatest contributions of a leader. To generate opportunities for others to advance. The other, naturally, being invested in the people and ensuring they have a good time engaging in those opportunities. What? I'm not rambling. Follow along," Kamjin annoyingly smacked his lips again.

"Now, I've known Korvis for nearly a year as my Right Hand. He's accomplished in the necessary blocking and tackling of the role. Ensuring that no clones come through the doors and that members who we suspect are treated fairly and timely. We don't need more of those Queen what's her name popping up. Moreso, during one of the largest and most challenging AI cases we've faced he dove into the research with wanton abandonment. Huh? What? Yes, that's the word I want to use. No, it doesn't mean...oh, whatever. He applied himself hard. Manually checking with me each submission. Verifying the information was tracked appropriately. Coordinating with old James the mighty that everything was updated in the system. It was quite a feet," Kamjin coughed. "Feat."

"Now, I hear Korvis is off in Scholae Palatinae. Grand Clan that one is...top stars. Why I remember when I...oh, what? Fine, I'll stick to Korvis. But, you wait I'll tell you a great story after this. So, Korvis is off as Proconsul of Scholae Palatinae. He's busy making a name for himself. While I had such an amazing time at the gala (RP) he threw for Rayne's ascension to the throne. There was this bartender there, Sparkle was her name, we had a great night before...You're right, you're right. Not important. Well, he organized the whole thing and a huge crowd showed up and then he organized a whole after-party that also saw a lot of folks appear," Kamjin gazed off, lost in his memories. You snap your fingers to bring him back to his senses.

"Right, where was I? Korvis, old Kiltpin himself as I was fond to call him. You know he actually went out in a Kilt with a Mandalorian helmet? Anyways, it's been a little over a year since we first made Korvis an Adapt. What? No, I said Adept. I haven't been saying it wrong for 30 years. No, it's not Elder one. Fine...FINE. Elder one. Whatever, kids these days. So, since he was last promoted to Elder One, he's organized 81 competitions. Not a bad number at all. He's participated in some 268 competitions. But let me tell you, only 233 of them count cause of them old brackets. He's done countless battles in the ACC and boy howdy, he's gotten himself a bushel of awards," Kamjin actually smacked his knee to make that last point.

"So now, here he is. Ready at last to be a Master. Why, I reckon if he keeps at this pace he'll be a Prophet before me. What? You changed that...Elder three? That's not a thing. Wait...where are you going? I've got more to tell you about Korvis!"

Additional reasons

Korvyn has been on the Regent’s Staff for nearly as long as I have. In that time, Korv has learned everything there is to know about running the office. Logically, when I got the tap to step up into the Regent’s Chair, Korv was my first choice as Praetor. He’s been stalwart, dependable, flexible, and efficient in this role. His skills in what he does are matched only by his passion to provide the best possible experience for our members.

I could list all of the things he’s done as a member of staff, ad nauseum. Instead of an exhaustive list, I will provide a few key items that really illustrate how absolutely invaluable he is on the Staff. There have been at least three booster releases that were penned, almost in entirety by Korv. He’s exhaustively searched through all of our aspects, updating an unifying verbiage. He’s done the same for a QoL update focused on providing uniformity to the descriptions and weapons formatting. Additionally, he’s been responsible for penning and updating the majority of our Wiki updates over the last 2 years. The point of this is: Korv’s hard work is unmatched.

Not only was he absolutely slaying on the Regent’s staff, he balanced that with being a Consul, a Proconsul, and various roles in the Chamber of Justice. This man has done some of everything and he’s done it with spinning multiple plates. He’s doing all of this work all over the place all at the same time.

Korvis has had an immeasurable impact on this organization, most of it done in the silence of the shadow of hard work. His impact has spread far and wide. Whether that is in the Regent’s, his work with the Chamber of Justice, Clan Vizsla, Clan Scholae Palatinae, or elsewhere. You don’t have to look far to see Korv’s hand in things.

Beyond the mountains of hard work, Korvis has always held himself with dignity and respect for others. He is a model member of this organization. Moreover, I consider Korv to be a dear friend. I can think of no-one who is more worthy of of elevation to Elder 2 than Korv. Congratulations Korv. Crack open a cold one. Drinks are on you!

Korvyn is a powerhouse of experience and knowledge within our community. We value him greatly in CSP for everything he's done in the 3 months he's been here. I rely on his insight about running things as a team and I value his advice. He's great to be around. He works exceptionally well with our QUAs. Frankly, I couldn't do what I do without him. He's done so much for CSP and the DB at large, there's no question he deserve the next rank of Elder.

Since his last promotion, he's organized 81 competitions, participated in 236 unique competitions, he's earned almost 500k credits for CSP and almost 1 million for Vizsla before that, passed 20 SA courses with 6 degrees to show for it, he organized our social RP for the Clan, and he ranked up 11 times in our Societies. He's earned so many impressive medals; and Emerald Dagger, a Ruby Scepter, all three types of Novae from ProBowl, 5 Crescents with a Diamond Star, 15 Ruby, 14 Amethyst, 25 Sapphire, 11 Emerald, 10 Topaz, 3 Quartz, 382 Clusters of Fire, 33 of Ice, 46 of Graphite, Scroll of Foundation, Scroll of the Master, Seal of Loyalty, and 21 Seals of Transcendence. In addition, he's been Consul, M:RGT, P:RGT, Right Hand of Justice, AND my PCON. It's absolutely incredible. This, along with his work behind the scenes is why it would be an honor to see his elevation to the next rank.

His hard work and dedication has most definitely paid off without a doubt to get where he is today. He is a Master. Congratulations, Korvyn! You the man!

Korvis without a doubt deserves this promotion. For months and months he served as basically a second "right hand man" to me on the Regent Staff - finishing out my term on The Council as Special Magistrate to the Regent - handling many things behind the scenes such as policy improvements, quality tweaks, stuff nobody else was overly eager to do but he excelled at, and continuing to offer input on other subjects. He's worked hard for several years now in a slew of positions ranging from clan leadership to council staffer positions, always pacing himself and giving up mantles when he knows he's done the time and doesn't have much left to give.

Korvis has a strong head on his shoulders, firm in his opinion but also willing to bend and move not necessarily where the wind blows, but with what's right and makes the most sense. He's a fair mediator, but believes in enforcing the rules of our community and holding others accountable to those rules regardless of who they are or their position in the community. Korv isn't afraid to speak up when things are amiss or he disagrees, and has - and is - consistently worked towards a better Brotherhood for all members.

Korvis exemplifies the work ethic, mindset, and devotion to this club that being a mid-level Elder requires. He has thoroughly earned this promotion through his consistent work for the club and his devotion to its members, and I am proud to be part of this recommendation for him to join us in the second echelon of the Elder ranks.

Congratulations, Korvis. You've earned it.
